Isla couldn’t move, she was half–bare before him, her heart racing. They were husband and wife, yet this intimacy felt forbidden, like something that should never be.
Gabriel’s breath quickened. His chest heaving. It had been too long, far too long since he had seen her like this. And now, it was as if he had not seen a woman so beautiful as her.
In the next moment, he swept her up in his arms, and her gasp broke into a soft laugh, her arms instinctively circling his neck. He laid her down gently on the sofa, his gaze never leaving hers.

His lips pressed firmly into her skin, then his mouth trailed higher. It was deliberately slow and teasing. He kissed along her calf, his tongue tracing a burning path from her ankle up to her knee.
