Chapter 1390
[ 584 words ]
In the living room.
Luella sat cross-legged on the low table, eating her food while ordering Jimmie around.
“I don’t like green onions.”
“Okay.”
Jimmie diligently picked every single speck of green onion out of her bowl, leaving absolutely nothing behind.
Jared stayed quiet, secretly observing everything.
“I want water.” Luella flipped through her tablet without even looking up.
“Okay.”
Jimmie quickly brought over a glass of water and set it next to her hand.
Jared craned his neck to peek.
Not bad.
It was her favorite lemon water, with exactly one and a half slices of lemon.
Given her perfectionism, even a tiny bit extra was a no-go.
And Jimmie actually knew that.
“I…”
“Your stomach isn’t great, so forget about the ice cream,” Jimmie flat-out refused, catching her eyeing the dessert.
Luella turned her head, fixing a dark, dangerous glare on the man. A threatening smirk curled on her lips. “Jimmie, are you feeling brave today? Making decisions for me now?”
Jared nodded silently in agreement.
Once, he had secretly defied her, and she had kicked him so hard in the butt that it ached for days.
This guy actually dared to oppose her to her face?
His ass was about to get kicked into next week!
Jared sat up straight, a bright smile blooming on his chubby face as his sparkling eyes darted between the two of them.
Fight. Come on, fight! He hadn’t seen his sister beat someone up in a long time. “We’ll have it another day.”
Jimmie picked up the warm lemon water and personally fed it to her lips, his voice gentle and incredibly indulgent. “I’ll let you have two scoops then, alright?”
Luella stared at his face for a few seconds before finally compromising and taking a sip of the lemon water.
She didn’t mention the ice cream again.
Jared: “???”
Wait a minute.
Why didn’t this go according to the script?
After lunch.
Luella finally remembered the cheap little brother huddled in the corner.
“You-“
“Yes, Sis!” Jared sprang up instantly, standing as stiff as a soldier.
Luella pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling a mix of annoyance and amusement.
She really didn’t have much patience for kids, especially the child of her “enemy.”
“If you’re going to stay with me, you follow my rules.” Luella crossed her legs and said sternly, “I’m finding
kindergarten im Eclara City
of
start school tomorrow.”
“Sis, are you throwing me away?” Jared’s face fell, his voice thick with grievance. “I’ll be so good, I promise I won’t cause any trouble. Please don’t throw me away.”
His eyes reddened, and the tears were already threatening to fall.
“I’m not throwing you away.”
Luella scratched her head, forcing herself to be patient. “You can come home after school.”
“Really?” Jared wiped his eyes, asking with sheer earnestness. “Don’t lie to me, Sis. I’ve been to kindergarten before.”
She couldn’t fool him!
het
“Yes!” Luella pressed her lips together grabbing a tissue and tossing it at him. A real man doesn’t cry at the drop of a hat. I refuse to have such a useless little brother!”
“I’m not crying!” Jared hurriedly wiped away his tears and forced a rigid smile.
“You’re better off crying. That smile is uglier than your tears!”
Jared was speechless.
Boohoo. His life was so hard!
“I’ll handle the school
arrangements.” Seeing the
miserable little guy, Jimmie reached out and rubbed his head, offering a soft comført. I’ve already bought a
new house. We’ll pick a school close to there.”

“Thanks, Jimmie.”
Jared looked at him with genuine gratitude. “As long as you don’t bully my sister, I
won’t beat you up.”
“Well, thank you for that.”
Jimmie didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He looked at Luella. “Shouldn’t we notify his mother?”
“Yeah.”
Luella pulled out her phone and dialed Megan’s number.
