Chapter 1532
[ 650 words ]
Seeing Juniper, Yolanda’s expression twisted.
Her family’s drama had blown up spectacularly, and her parents were on the verge of divorce.
As for the company, the scandal had grown so massive that many business partnerships had been canceled outright.
Ever since her grandfather passed away, the company’s growth had taken a hit.
Now, it was a complete, chaotic mess.
Who knew how long they could hold on.
And then there was her own situation.
Yolanda secretly wiped away her tears, feeling incredibly wronged.
She was a victim in this whole mess too.
The man had told her he had no feelings for his wife and that they were about to get a divorce.
He promised he would marry her as soon as it was finalized.
Who knew he was just stringing her along?
The guy’s wife had cornered her in an alleyway with a bunch of thugs and taught her a harsh lesson.
She threatened to beat Yolanda every single time she saw her.
When the news spread around campus, everyone looked at her with pure disgust.
With her face bruised and swollen, she couldn’t even show herself in public.
“You’re really enjoying this, aren’t you, Juniper?” Yolanda sneered viciously, her eyes red.
“?”
Juniper raised an eyebrow, a cold scoff escaping her throat. “Yeah, I am. Got a problem with that?”
Yolanda choked on her response, completely unable to find a comeback.
It was true.
Juniper was untouchable now. What could Yolanda even do about it?
“You—”
Yolanda stuttered for a while but couldn’t string together a single sentence.
A crowd was starting to form, and the whispers grew louder.
“Wow, this is so wild.”
“Wow, what drama.”
“Wow, she has no shame.”
“Wow, wow, wow…”
If you didn’t know better, you’d think a bunch of frogs had just been startled in a pond.
“Hmph. I won’t let this destroy me. Just you wait.”
Yolanda ducked her head, her face burning red, and sprinted away from the scene.
Tsk.
Juniper casually twitched her lips and continued toward her classroom.
Classes finally ended.
It was already five in the afternoon.
Juniper grabbed her bag and slid into Shanley’s sports car.
“Are we heading over now?”
Shanley helped her off with her jacket, then unscrewed a pre-prepared travel mug and handed it to her.
“Mhm.”
Juniper nodded, but seeing the mug he handed her, she frowned. “It’s hot?”
It’s almost ninety degrees outside!
And you want me to drink a hot beverage?
“Your time of the month is coming up. You should stick to warm drinks for the next few days,” Shanley murmured gently brushing a stray Hock of hair from her forehead. You can have iced drinks once it’s over.”
Juniper crossed her arms over her chest, staying silent, letting him guess what she was thinking.
“Be good.” Shanley pinched her cheek, coaxing her patiently. “It’s a warm jasmine drink. It’s very sweet.”
“You’re such a control freak.”
Juniper muttered, but took the mug anyway and took a couple of sips. “Shanley, you’ve really been pushing your luck lately.”
“I have.”
Shanley’s lips curled, his eyes overflowing with adoration. “Then punish me by only letting me go…”
He whispered the number of rounds so softly it was barely audible.
But with Juniper’s sharp hearing, she caught it loud and clear.
“You call that a punishment?” Juniper leaned over and bit him on the chin her misty eyes glaring at him in accusation. You greedy bastard.”
“Heh.”
Shanley naturally pulled her into his arms,
murzzling her hair as he

And then, he could do so much more.
“Oh, shut up.”
Too lazy to push him away, Juniper leaned into his embrace and ordered coldly,
“Felton, do you have all the documents ready?”
“Yes, Ms. Payne. Everything is ready,” Felton replied.
“To Sherwin Group.” Juniper gave the order, then slowly closed her eyes.
It was time to deal with the Sherwin family.
Grandpa would understand if he were watching from above.
At the Sherwin Group.
Malcolm sat in his office, his face the color of ashes.
His family was falling apart, and his business was crashing down.
Now, the entire board of directors was banding together to oust him.
Hmph.
Malcolm scoffed coldly.
His father founded Sherwin Group, and he was the sole heir.
