Chapter 1539
[ 626 words ]
Juniper sat down, her deep eyes eyeing the people in front of her, cutting straight to the chase: “I’m taking this villa, too.”
This villa was built piece by piece after her grandfather and grandmother got married.
It held all their memories.
Leaving it in the hands of the Sherwin family meant it would probably end up sold off
one day.
“Juniper, you’re pushing it too far!” Malcolm’s face turned ashen as he paced around anxiously.
Frigga and Yolanda stayed huddled together, doing nothing but crying.
The group was gone.
They would no longer be able to live the lives of a rich socialite and a pampered heiress.
The more they thought about it, the worse they felt, tears streaming down their faces.
“Pushing us to death like this, the old man won’t let you off!” Frigga yelled, pointing at Juniper.
“You have two options in front of you.” Juniper crossed her legs, her expression frosty. “Get out of Eclara City, and I’ll give you a proportional share of the assets according to Grandpa’s will. Or stay in Eclara City and get absolutely nothing. And who knows, you might even drop dead suddenly one day.”
“This is a blatant threat.”
Malcolm was so furious his face turned a sickly green, stumbling over his words. “How did the Sherwin family ever adopt an ungrateful wretch like you?”
“Slap “
The moment the words left his mouth, Flint delivered a sharp slap to his face.
“Old man, watch your mouth.” Flint “accidentally” revealed the gun at his waist, warning him coldly, “If you dare disrespect Ms. Payne again, the next thing hitting your face won’t be a hand.”
Seeing the dark weapon, Malcolm’s face changed drastically.
This was Shanley, the king of Borealia, whose hands were stained with an untold amount of blood.
Killing him would be as easy as flipping a hand.
“Choose.”
Juniper couldn’t be bothered to argue with him, her voice chillingly clear. “You have
five seconds to decide. Five, four, three…”
Malcolm’s breath hitched, his brain working on overdrive.
Leaving Eclara City meant a huge sum of money, but if he stayed…
He might just end up dead at the hands of Juniper or the enemies outside.
Weighing the two, taking the money and leaving was obviously the better choice.
“Leave, I choose to leave.” Malcolm answered hastily. “As long as you give me the money, I’ll leave whenever, and the house is yours.”
Juniper gave him a faint glance, her eyes full of disgust.
She wondered if she should check if Grandpa had brought home the wrong son from the hospital.
“Felton.”
Juniper spoke, and Felton immediately brought over the pre-prepared checks.
“There are five checks in total. I’ll authorize one every five years,” Juniper added. “If you dare cause any trouble in between the money will be voided instantly.”
“What about us?”
A tearful Frigga looked at Juniper cautiously. “No matter how much you hate Yolanda, she’s still the old mar’s biological granddaughter.
The Sherwin family’s reputation in Eclara City was completely ruined.
The internet was full of people cursing their family of three. Yolanda probably couldn’t stay in Eclara City anymore, either.
Her heartless father still had to support a mistress and a son; he definitely wouldn’t give her and Yolanda any money.
“These checks are for you.” Felton took out more checks, saying expressionlessly, “Never appear in front of Ms. Payne again.”
“We won’t, absolutely won’t.”
Seeing the money, Frigga quickly replied, “I’ll take Yolanda abroad. We’ll never come back.”
“Let’s go.”
Juniper couldn’t bear to look at them any longer and walked quickly out of the hall.
She was walking a bit fast, so
Shanley caught her hand in timenet
pulling her into his arms to comfört her it’s fine. If you ever regret it, I’ll’ just have someone finish them off.”
“They really do deserve it.”
Juniper rested her forehead against his shoulder, her voice muffled. “But Shanley,
they’re Grandpa’s only blood relatives.”
She couldn’t bring herself to cut off her grandfather’s bloodline completely.
