But the further they went in, the larger the cave became.

But now was not the time to investigate accountability; they needed to find Lin Hanshui quickly.
Holding their flashlights, they moved closer and discovered boxes stacked nearly three to four meters high.
As they opened the stacked boxes, the dim light from the flashlight reflected off entire crates filled with gold, nearly blinding them.
“Indeed, those spies have hidden all the good stuff here; this is even bigger than the gold bars we found before,” one of the National Security Office members exclaimed bitterly.
Previously, they had only found large fish weighing about five hundred grams hidden in boxes, but here were genuine gold bars, each the size of the bricks used to build houses.

“You all finished your investigation yesterday. Why are you here again today? What went wrong? Was it Wei Dexuan who sold me out?” she demanded through clenched teeth.
Xu Chengzhi coldly replied, “Do you really think you, a spy, have the right to question us?”
Lin Hanshui was taken aback by his rudeness, momentarily stunned. Then her gaze shifted over all of them and landed on Su Xiaoxiao.
Clearly, Wei Dexuan must have informed her about Su Xiaoxiao, knowing they had suffered a great loss at her hands.
Su Hongchen and Jiang Yexun instinctively moved to protect Su Xiaoxiao, but she shoved them aside.
“You don’t need to worry; she’s already been subdued and can’t kill me with just a glare,” Su Xiaoxiao said nonchalantly, even defiantly meeting Lin Hanshui’s eyes.
However, while looking at her, Su Xiaoxiao felt her heart race, and a warm sensation washed over her.
Could she be hiding something valuable?
Curiously blinking, Su Xiaoxiao began to approach Lin Hanshui.
Su Hongchen quickly grabbed her arm, anxiously asking, “What are you doing? She’s dangerous; stay away from her!”
“I think she has something on her,” Su Xiaoxiao tilted her head, her tone uncertain.
But she wasn’t uncertain at all.
She was absolutely sure that Lin Hanshui must be hiding treasure.
Hearing Su Xiaoxiao’s words, Lin Hanshui let out a scornful snort. “What are you even worth? What do you think you can find here? My most valuable things are in this cave; I can’t hide anything on me.”
But Su Xiaoxiao was undeterred by her words and boldly walked right up to her.
Jiang Yexun and Su Hongchen closely followed behind her, fearful of her encountering danger.
