Mrs. Su and Mr. Su immediately became anxious. “Why are you going to the black market at a time like this? Aren’t you worried about getting into trouble?”
“I am!” Su Xiaoxiao nodded seriously. “But I was very careful. I made sure no one was following me, and I only stayed for about ten minutes.”
She blinked her cat-like eyes and gave a cute look, which made Mr. and Mrs. Su reluctant to stay angry with her.

Still, they were curious. “Why risk buying these things and then not even use them? What are you planning to do?”
Su Xiaoxiao didn’t keep it a secret. She pulled out a receipt from her pocket.
“I bought some old items from the scrap station. I’ve already hidden them. The stuff here is just a cover, so no one suspects anything.”
“You’ve been so cautious in the past six months. But aren’t you worried someone might find those things? What will you do then?” Mr. Su asked, looking at her.
Su Xiaoxiao shrugged nonchalantly. “Well, these things aren’t hidden anywhere related to us, so even if someone finds them, they can’t trace it back to me.”
“What if someone digs it up?” Mrs. Su asked with a smile.

“Even if they do, it’s only worth a few dozen bucks. If I store a little bit, maybe a couple hundred. If someone takes it all, I’ll be a little upset, but I can’t help it. These things were never meant to belong to me, no matter how hard I tried to get them.” Su Xiaoxiao said with a fatalistic tone.
Mr. and Mrs. Su, not knowing about her space, assumed she was just that calm and accepting of the situation. They looked at each other with satisfied expressions.
