Chapter 410
Jiang Yexun looked down at the little girl in his arms, so soft and obedient, and his heart warmed.
Unable to resist, he lowered his head and kissed her rosy lips.
Her soft lips carried a faint fragrance that stirred something in Jiang Yexun, making him feel a bit more excited.
But he quickly remembered that this was Su’s house, and he didn’t dare to go too far. So he made a conscious effort to restrain himself.
His kiss was gentle, lingering, softly exploring her inviting sweetness.
One large hand rested on the back of Su Xiaoxiao’s neck, slowly slipping into the collar of her clothes, caressing her with deep affection.
Because of the tenderness, their kiss lasted longer than usual.
By the time they broke apart, both of them had fallen onto the couch.
Reluctantly, Jiang Yexun let go of those sweet, red lips and pulled Su Xiaoxiao into his arms, gently stroking her soft, slender fingers.
“Do you still want to buy anything? After the wedding, I’ll take you,” he asked, his voice husky and filled with affection.
Su Xiaoxiao thought for a moment. “I want to buy a set of physics, chemistry, and math books, and some study materials.”
“I saw a big bookstore in Shanghai. We can go there to buy them later,” Jiang Yexun replied, following along with her suggestion.
But Su Xiaoxiao shook her head. “The physics, chemistry, and math books have been discontinued. The only chance of getting them is if I can find them at the scrap station.”
“Won’t those books be dirty?” Jiang Yexun frowned and asked.
He, being the rough type, wouldn’t mind, but he was worried that if the books were too dirty, Su Xiaoxiao might get sick from handling them every day.
Su Xiaoxiao froze for a moment, clearly not having thought of this before.
But now that Jiang Yexun had pointed it out, how could she not be a little repulsed?
“Why are you bringing that up?” Su Xiaoxiao shot him an annoyed look.
“Then should we buy something else?” Jiang Yexun asked with a smile.
“No, these materials are really valuable,” Su Xiaoxiao firmly rejected the suggestion.
This set of books was a treasure. Whether or not she could get into Tsing University depended entirely on these materials.
In her past life, her grades had barely been average, and after drifting for several decades, most of that knowledge was long gone.
But although she thought this way, the test papers from the college entrance exam vividly appeared in her mind.
Su Xiaoxiao jumped in shock, quickly trying to push the test papers out of her mind.
But the more she tried to discard them, the clearer the questions and the answers became.
Moreover, after being nourished by the spiritual spring water, she was almost able to memorize everything instantly.
Sigh, if she had known, she wouldn’t have drunk it every day.
What should she do now?
Would knowing the test paper in advance, remembering it, and even being unable to forget it count as cheating?
Jiang Yexun watched as the little girl in his lap went from a determined expression to one of surprise, and then to a look of guilt, which made him feel a bit amused.
“What’s wrong?” Jiang Yexun held her tighter, asking with concern.
Su Xiaoxiao shook her head, then buried herself in his arms with a pitiful expression.
“I’m struggling with my conscience.”
Conscience?
What is Xiaoxiao trying to do?
Jiang Yexun’s mind buzzed, and he immediately thought of something he shouldn’t have.
He quickly adjusted the little girl in his arms and cleared his throat, trying to distract her.
“No rush, we’ll be married in a few days. You’ve managed to hold on this long, just three more days, and I’ll give you anything you want.”
“Huh?” Su Xiaoxiao blinked in confusion.
When she realized what he meant, her face immediately flushed bright red.
“What are you thinking? I’m not thinking about that!” Su Xiaoxiao firmly denied it.
But as she spoke, her body, like a soft, slippery snake, unconsciously moved closer to Jiang Yexun.
Jiang Yexun, already unwilling to let her go, naturally pulled her tighter.
His cool lips gently brushed against the back of her neck, and he laughed softly.
“Yeah, it’s me who’s thinking about it.”
Su Xiaoxiao’s face was burning with embarrassment, but she didn’t know how to explain herself, so she could only pout angrily.
“If it weren’t for the fact that you’ve been in front of my parents and brother these past few days, I’d bite you to death!”
“Mm, our Xiaoxiao is so merciful,” Jiang Yexun teased, his voice gentle and affectionate.
