Chapter 489
Su Xiaoxiao’s pupils trembled with fright, and she shivered, edging her small body backward.
“I think you should calm down. If it’s really not working, I can prescribe some medicine for you to clear heat and reduce inflammation,” she suggested in a small voice.
Although she was willing to work hard to conceive a child sooner, she couldn’t really be exhausted to death, could she?
Her waist was sore and aching badly.
If this happened a few more times, she would definitely be the land that was plowed to ruin, but Jiang Yexun, the bull, was still so vigorous and lively.
“Would you bear to treat me like this?” Jiang Yexun’s resolute face instantly revealed a wronged expression, like a soft and cute big dog.
If it weren’t for the pain reminding her, Su Xiaoxiao would probably have already reached out to rub his head.
However, looking into Jiang Yexun’s bright eyes, she felt that it would be too embarrassing to compromise so easily.
With no other choice, she coughed lightly and said, “What would I be reluctant to do? You should get up quickly; it’s time to eat. Don’t let our parents come to call us.”
Jiang Yexun glanced at the wall clock and sped up his actions of wiping his little wife.
Su Xiaoxiao, feeling both shy and anxious, simply pulled the quilt over her face to cover it completely.
“Don’t burrow into the quilt, be careful not to suffocate,” Jiang Yexun pulled at the quilt, worriedly instructing.
“Stop talking nonsense!” Su Xiaoxiao wanted to kick out, but as soon as she moved, her waist ached so much that she groaned.
No, she must have some Spirit Spring Water to relieve the discomfort later.
Su Xiaoxiao gritted her teeth, allowing Jiang Yexun to finish taking care of her, then dressed her, and the two of them left the room.
As soon as her foot touched the step, Su Xiaoxiao immediately felt a tearing sensation.
The original soreness turned into aching pain, she grimaced, and her body suddenly froze on the step.
“Are you very uncomfortable?” Jiang Yexun leaned forward, gently placing his large palm on her lower back and rubbed it.
“You still have the nerve to ask, you were so fierce just now,” Su Xiaoxiao pouted and hummed.
What was he doing? The pain wasn’t in the waist.
She disdainfully hummed in her heart, raised her hand, and wanted to slap Jiang Yexun’s hand away.
But before she could move, Mrs. Su called from below: “Xiaoxiao, Yexun, Mom and dad, come down for dinner.”
“Coming, coming,” Su Xiaoxiao hurriedly responded.
Just about to grit her teeth and go downstairs, her body was suddenly lifted horizontally.
She let out a small exclamation, quickly wrapping her arms around Jiang Yexun’s neck.
“What are you doing!” Su Xiaoxiao complained softly and tenderly.
If someone saw this, they would know what they had just done, and would she still have any face left?
Jiang Yexun’s eyes rippled with a leisurely smile, and he lowered his head to kiss his little wife’s tender lips.
Just as Jiang Yexun was about to speak teasingly, he looked up and saw his brother-in-law standing at the top of the stairs, staring at him with an icy, sinister expression.
The tightly furrowed brows and the cold, frosty glare in his eyes made the atmosphere even more chilling.
Jiang Yexun quickly rushed downstairs in three steps, then gently set Su Xiaoxiao down.
Su Xiaoxiao looked at her brother, who was emanating an icy aura, and her face immediately turned as red as a monkey’s bottom.
“You go ahead first, I’ll talk to him for a bit,” Su Hongchen said softly, coaxing his sister.
When he looked at her, the coldness in his eyes quickly disappeared, replaced by a gentleness that was hard to ignore.
“Okay!” Su Xiaoxiao suppressed the smile tugging at her lips and obediently nodded.
As she turned to leave, she couldn’t help but sneak a look at Jiang Yexun, her eyes filled with a sense of schadenfreude.
Jiang Yexun felt his temples throb, helplessly but fondly shaking his head with a smile.
“Let’s go, we’ll talk outside,” Su Hongchen said as he casually slung his arm around Jiang Yexun’s neck, pulling him toward the door.
As they passed the yard, Mr. Su, who was busy sorting the coal piles, raised an eyebrow at them. “Where are you two going? Aren’t you going to eat?”
“Dad, you go ahead, I need to talk to him about something,” Su Hongchen answered casually, quickening his pace toward the door.
By the time Mr. Su had finished arranging the coal, the two of them had already gone out.
“Really, such a big house, and they can’t find a place to talk?” Mr. Su shook his head and muttered to himself, but since they were all grown up, he couldn’t be bothered to interfere.
Su Hongchen led Jiang Yexun to a quiet alley next door, where there was no one around, and then pushed him up against the wall.
Before Jiang Yexun could stabilize himself, Su Hongchen kicked him hard.
Jiang Yexun’s expression darkened, and he swiftly dodged the full-force attack.
Without a word, they immediately started exchanging blows.
This time, their fight was fiercer than the last one in Dai City, with each punch and kick full of power.
Though only a few months had passed, it was clear that their skills, reaction speed, and strength had improved significantly.
To an outsider, their movements would seem like a blur, but to each other, they appeared almost in slow motion.
They fought for a full half hour, neither gaining the upper hand, until they both finally stopped.
“You big, clumsy idiot, treat my sister well,” Su Hongchen said, frowning and glaring at Jiang Yexun.
Jiang Yexun nodded, “I will.”
“I want you to mean it, not just say it to placate me,” Su Hongchen raised his hand and punched him in the chest, angrily adding, “You better live up to your words.”
Jiang Yexun winced, his face contorted with pain, but he could only sigh in resignation. “I’m serious. I’ll treat Xiaoxiao well. I’ll give her everything, I’ll listen to her in everything.”
As a man, there are things that must be handled properly. The “ammunition” needs to be delivered, and the “weapon” should be put away properly.
Besides, he had been listening to his little wife just now. Whenever she told him to stop, he didn’t dare rest for a second.
Su Hongchen looked at Jiang Yexun for a moment, his brow furrowing slightly. Something about his seemingly normal words felt a bit off.
After thinking about it carefully, though, he couldn’t pinpoint what was strange, so he decided not to dwell on it.
