“You two as well? What troubles are you planning for this time?”
Team Leader Jiang’s eyebrows twisted into a tight knot as he glared at him fiercely.
“I’m not planning for troubles. I’m planning to buy the wedding supplies,” Jiang Yexun explained.
But it was apparent that this reason didn’t convince Team Leader Jiang.
“Aren’t the supplies from our local supply and marketing cooperative enough for you?”
“I also need to visit my brother. He’s in the army, and he hasn’t had time to come home for the past two years. But getting married is a significant event for me, and I need to inform him,” Su Xiaoxiao said, raising her head and looking directly at him with a disdainful gaze.

“In the future, you must manage that stinky son of mine properly. He’s so spendthrift; nobody spends money like he does. Keep his earnings for him, give him a yuan or two a month to carry around; that should be enough,” Aunt Guo reminded Su Xiaoxiao anxiously.
“Dear Aunt, Yexun knows what he’s doing. Look at the clothes and shoes he wears; they’re all patched up. He never squanders money. He only spends more when it comes to us. You gave birth to him, raised him to this age; it’s been so hard for you. Besides, we’re not short of money. So, don’t be too frugal. Spend what you need to spend,” Su Xiaoxiao knew that Aunt Guo was a very thrifty person.
Jiang Yexun deliberately gave money and tickets to make sure she wouldn’t feel uncomfortable spending her daughter’s and son-in-law’s money.
After packing their luggage, Jiang Xinyue didn’t want to stay at home for too long and was eager to take Aunt Guo back to the city. However, the bicycle’s back seat could only carry one person, so Jiang Yexun had to ride his bike to take Aunt Guo to the city.
“You don’t have to send me. I can go back to the educated youth dormitory on my own,” Su Xiaoxiao, under the playful glances of a few people, tried to push away Jiang Yexun, but her weak body couldn’t do it. She couldn’t resist cuddling into his embrace.
