Chapter 107
I couldn’t help but inhale hers as well; she smelled so sweet, like vanilla and lavender, and the strong emotions surrounding her made it even more intense, giving it a richer aroma. I brought her up the stairs, glad to see that the rogues hadn’t returned.
I walked outside to find a car waiting out front with Beta Taylor leaning against the side of it.
He straightened his posture when he saw me walk outside, and when his eyes narrowed at Judy and he took in her scent, his face paled.
“Damn, you weren’t joking,” he murmured.
“Just open the back door,” I muttered as I walked toward the car.
Taylor opened the back door for us to get in.
I first positioned Judy in the seat and then got in beside her, tucking her into my side.
She wrapped her arms around me and pressed her face against my body, warmth still radiating off her in waves.
“Should we go to the hospital?” Taylor asked as he started the car and drove away from the rogue hideout.
“No, take me to my villa,” I answered.
Taylor glanced at me through the rearview mirror, a question on his lips.
“Are you sure about that?” he asked.
I let out a low and threatening growl and he nodded, not saying anything more.
It took a long while, but we eventually made it back to my villa.
Judy had fallen asleep in my arms, and I refused to let her go.
I thanked Taylor before scooping Judy into my arms and bringing her inside the villa.
I said nothing to any of the maids, or Adam, who was staring after us with a dumbfounded expression.
I could see his eyes glowing as his wolf caught the presence of the unmated she-wolf, and I gave him a warning growl as I walked by.
He submitted immediately; not even a younger wolf in the presence of a strong Lycan could withstand such force.
I brought Judy upstairs and into my suite; she had woken up since we arrived home, and she was back to whimpering softly and clinging to me.
“It’s so warm…” she whispered.
“Please…” I felt her lips brushing against the nape of my neck, and I let out a shuddering breath as I fought to keep myself under control.
I brought her into the bathroom and sat her down on the counter.
I turned on the cold water in the bathtub. She was seated with her eyes closed, her face flushed from head to toe.
A low growl came from my wolf before I could stop him.
Judy opened her eyes slightly and a faint smile curved the corner of her lips.
“Gavin…” she whispered, holding onto my arm and pulling me toward her.
I was losing my restraint, and I wasn’t sure how much longer I’d be able to resist.
“You were drugged,” I told her, running my fingers down the nape of her neck and holding onto her shoulders gently. “I won’t take advantage of you…”
“Please…” she whispered, biting her lower lip and drawing my attention to her parted lips that seemed to beg for a kiss.
“I need you…” She brushed her lips lightly against mine, and my resolve completely shattered.
I pressed my mouth against hers, taking the comfort I was desperate for.
My tongue moved with hers as I explored her mouth with a depth of feeling I had never experienced before.
The wolf in me was practically restless with need; it almost felt like I was the one being overwhelmed.
My body leaned into hers and she fit against me so perfectly.
A quiet sound escaped her lips as she deepened the kiss, wanting to be even closer to me.
I lifted her into my arms and she instinctively wrapped around me, holding me tightly.
She wore shorts, but I could still sense the heat of her emotions against me.
I kissed her more deeply, unable to pull away.
I needed her closeness…
I needed her right here and right now.
I trailed my lips down to the nape of her neck, lingering there, marking every moment.
She whispered my name with trembling breaths as I leaned in closer.
Then, as the cold water soaked her heated skin, she yelped.
