Chapter 255

This was seriously messed up. Dennis realized things were going south and barked at his crew, “All of you, get her!”
The guys rushed Charlotte at once. Andrew and Parrish were about to jump into the fray, but before they could move, someone yanked them back by the collars. Charlotte’s voice rang out, sharp and clear. “Stay put. Don’t make things worse.”
They stumbled and landed in a heap in the corner. When they finally scrambled up, what they saw left them speechless.
Charlotte had one guy by the hair and another by the arm. In one swift move, she lifted off the ground, her long legs sweeping out as she kicked at the thugs coming at her. There was the awful sound of bone snapping, and two men howled in pain at the same time.
Andrew and Parrish swallowed hard. Was this real? Charlotte, taking on ten guys solo? If anyone ever called her weak again, they’d have something to say about it.
Even Dennis looked spooked. His face tightened and he took a couple steps back. “What’s wrong with you losers? You can’t handle one girl?”
The rest of the thugs hesitated, staring at Charlotte’s icy, unflinching expression. Clutching their sticks tighter, one of them shouted, “Together! Get her!”
Six men charged, swinging their sticks at her from all directions.
“Charlotte, look out!” Andrew couldn’t help himself. He got to his feet, ready to help, but Parrish pulled him back down.
“Don’t go,” Parrish said, eyes glued to the fight.
Andrew frowned. “Why not?”
Parrish grinned. “You’ll just mess her up.”
Before Andrew could argue, another round of screams exploded across the room, Charlotte kicked two bald guys right in the gut, sending them flynging the wall before they crashed to the ground. Blood splattered, and the guys just lay there, barely moving.
“Get her!” Four more thugs tried to circle her.
Charlotte leaned on a table with one hand, then threw a fierce kick behind her, sending a green-haired guy
sprawling. She landed lightly annet
moving fast, caught two sticks swinging her way. She raised an eyebrow, a small smile touching lips. S

That smile was enough to make the two thugs panic. Instinct took over and they tried to run, but they crashed into each other headfirst and collapsed, knocked out cold.
“Charlotte! There’s still one more!” Andrew called out from the corner, waving his arms in support.
The last guy, who had been about to attack, froze. He looked terrified. “I—I didn’t hit you,” he stammered, tossing his stick aside and raising his hands, shaking all over.
Charlotte brushed her hands off, looking him over with clear disgust. Her gaze landed on his tattoo. “That tattoo’s wasted on you,” she said, then jerked her chin at the corner.
He got the hint right away, scurrying over to crouch in the corner with the others.
In less than five minutes, the room had gone from chaos to a pile of groaning bodies on the floor. No one noticed Dennis sneaking around, chair in hand, aiming straight for Andrew and Parrish.
Charlotte’s eyes narrowed. She
kicked away a stick, then launched herself forward. Just as Dennis
swung the chair down she reached out and blocked it with her arm,
catching the impact right on her slender wrist.
