Anthony never saw it coming when the other bidder suddenly upped the price by nine hundred million. He had been prepared to go as high as one and a half billion, tops.
Buying B20 for two billion, just to use it in research? Even if it brought in profits for the next hundred years, he’d never make back what he spent. It was a guaranteed loss.
Whoever he was up against, they clearly weren’t thinking straight.

Inside the private room, Anthony sat back, long legs stretched out, tapping his fingers on the sofa’s arm. His hands were all sharp lines and strength. This was Apex, Anthony’s territory. How could someone be so reckless, right in front of him?
