After what felt like forever, the door finally opened.
Anthony stepped out, holding tightly to Charlotte’s hand. He looked stunning, dressed in a deep blue suit paired with a pale gray shirt, the top buttons undone just enough to show off his strong, fair collarbone. With a face that seemed almost too perfect, he gave off a charm that was impossible to ignore.
Charlotte stood quietly at his side, dressed all in black with her usual hat and mask. She barely made a sound, but her presence was impossible to miss.
As soon as they appeared, it felt like the temperature in the hallway dropped a few degrees.
Jackson and Adonis had been camped out in the corridor for what seemed like hours. The moment the door creaked open, they sprang to their feet, eyes glued to Anthony and Charlotte’s joined hands. Their faces twisted with frustration. Had she really just forgiven him, just like that?
It was true what people always said. A good-looking guy could mess with your head, especially one who had both the looks and the body to back it up.
“Charlotte’s lost her mind,” Adonis muttered, shooting Anthony a glare. He instantly regretted it when Anthony caught his gaze, making his heart pound in his chest.
God, the founder of X Organization, was intimidating as hell. The two of them together almost made too much sense.
At least there was one silver lining. Charlotte had already ended up inheriting God’s billions.
“Charlotte, where to now?” Adonis tried to keep his voice respectful, but he couldn’t quite hide the nerves as he moved closer to her, wary of Anthony’s icy vibe.
They had the B20, the mission was done, and it should have been time to leave. Charlotte didn’t answer right away. Instead, she glanced up at Anthony.
“There’s still something I need to do. Stay with me one more day, okay?” Anthony squeezed her fingers and leaned down, his voice soft and reassuring in her ear.
“Alright,” Charlotte replied, her tone casual, almost careless.
Jackson and Adonis exchanged a look and fell in behind them, keeping their thoughts to themselves. Knowing the truth about N Organization but not being able to say anything was torture.

Anthony opened the car door and instinctively reached for Charlotte’s hand, pulling her close as they walked into a private elevator. The elevator’s glass was one way so they could see out, but no one could see them.
As the elevator moved, Charlotte looked out over the casino floor. It was a wreck. The place looked like it had been hit by a hurricane. Expensive equipment was smashed everywhere. The damage had to be in the billions.
Anthony caught the look on her face, and a small smile tugged at his lips. He rested his chin lightly on her shoulder and spoke in a low, teasing voice. “So, what do you think? Happy with your work?”
Was she satisfied? Not really. If she’d had her way, she would have taken out the whole building.
“Not really,” Charlotte answered with a wry smile, a little regret in her voice. “I held back.”
Anthony laughed quietly. “You troublemaker.” There was no real blame in his voice, just a gentle, affectionate warmth.
By the time the sun started setting, Anthony had finished cleaning up the casino mess. He wrapped his arm around Charlotte, who was nearly falling asleep on her feet, and started leading her toward the main hall.
The second they stepped out, a hush fell over the crowd. People gasped, then fell silent, staring at the two of them clinging to each other like they were the only ones in the world Someone even dropped what they were holding.
“Is that a guy with God?” someone whispered.
“That’s not just any guy. He looks exactly like the one from the Termination Order,”
another responded, voices buzzing through the room.
“Forget ‘looks like.’ That is him.”
X Organization had only ever issued two Termination Orders, and everyone here
remembered the man who’d destroyed the Netherworld Casino.
“What’s going on? Wasn’t God trying to kill him? How did this happen?”
“Are we missing the bigger picture here? Isn’t the real shocker that God actually likes men?”
A ripple of shock swept through the crowd again.
God had never been seen with a woman. The men around him were always bodyguards who’d been with him for years. Today, not only did he bring someone to
the casino, he was holding him close for everyone to see.
Had they really gone from enemies to something more? Maybe, just maybe, the fight had turned into something entirely different.
