Anthony stopped, his eyes sharp and cold as he sized N up from head to toe. The face and voice were definitely a man’s, but everything else—N’s frame, the way he moved, even the way he spoke-felt strangely feminine.
Noticing Anthony’s irritation, Charlotte glanced away, shifting her legs and crossing them again with a lazy air. “N Organization only messed with your shipment by accident,” she said calmly. “But X Organization jumped at the chance to sink three of our ships, destroy everything onboard, and trap hundreds of our people in Frostford
Her hands rested on the chair’s arms, pale fingers drumming a slow, steady beat. “And now you want to talk about responsibility? Sure. Let’s talk about who’s really to blame.”
Anthony found something oddly familiar in the way N sat, the way his fingers drummed. He stared, frowning, but Charlotte stopped tapping, her tone icy. “Keep looking at me like that and people will get the wrong idea.”
Anthony bristled at the softness in Charlotte’s voice. It made his skin crawl. His expression darkened. “Quit the nonsense.”
“You first,” Charlotte shot back, not missing a beat. She set her teacup down with a soft click. “What do you want?”
“The whole east district of Solenia. The labs in the west district Anthony didn’t bother to hold back. Taking N Organization’s territory was a bigger win than just killing a few people. But before he could finish, N cut him off.
“Are you out of your mind?”
Anthony narrowed his eyes, his tone flat. “You have a choice. Either hand over what I want, or watch your people die.”
Charlotte stared at him for a moment, then let out a cold laugh. “So you’re robbing me now?”
“I’m just taking what’s mine.”
“Alright.” Charlotte laughed softly and stood up, wandering over to Anthony’s side. She leaned against the desk, her posture casual, almost bored. You want all that? It’s not impossible. But
Anthony looked at her, disgust simmering just beneath the surface. He should have
dealt with her three years ago. Now, she was nothing but trouble.
“But what?” Anthony forced out, struggling to keep his patience.
“You’re asking for a lot. If I just hand it over, I’m the one losing out.” Charlotte leaned in, closing the
space between them, a sly little et

Anthony’s expression turned icy. He shot out of his chair, eyes blazing red. He
glared at N, his voice a harsh growl. “Get away from me!”
N actually had the nerve to get this close. To try something with him.
“You’re so fierce.” Watching him lose his cool, Charlotte couldn’t help but feel a rush of satisfaction. This was probably the last time she’d get to mess with him dressed as a man. She had to make it count.
“I’ll give you one last chance. Trade me Solenia’s assets for your people. If not, get out.”
Anthony was honestly relieved he hadn’t brought Lottie with him. If she ever found out another man had his eye on him… Well.
“I’ll give you one last chance, too.” Charlotte stayed where she was, her eyes bright with amusement, her voice lazy and sweet. “Let my people go. Then… be with me.”
