Chapter 1413
[ 627 words ]
“And there’s this, too.”
Michelle leaned into the camera, looking a bit pouty. “Those old geezers have been threatening me. They’re demanding that I get you to give a lecture, otherwise they’re going to come bang on my door in the middle of the night.”
“Next time you teach a class, you have to scold them for me.”
“Sure thing.”
Juniper smiled brightly as she leaned toward the lens, looking utterly adorable. “Michelle, I want to eat Shrimp Scampi with Angel Hair Pasta.”
“I’ll make it for you right now!”
Michelle handed the camera to a maid, rolled up her sleeves, and waddled her heavy frame toward the kitchen. “Nobody is allowed to help today! I am going to cook a delicious meal for my dear Nocturne myself!”
The scene was incredibly warm and beautiful.
Everyone in the venue was completely captivated, including Shanley.
He silently prayed there were more videos.
But then, Michelle’s icy voice broke the spell. “I have plenty of other videos, but I’m not showing them to you people.”
They were all adorable glimpses of her precious girl’s daily life; why should she share them with this bunch of blind, ungrateful brats?
Absolutely not!
Shanley was honestly a little disappointed.
“Right, so you guys doubted whether she was the legendary doctor?”
Michelle let out a cold snort and continued, “How about all of you sitting there challenge her? See if any of you can beat her in knowledge or practical skills!” “From what I can tell, not a single one of you is even close to being in her league!” As she spoke, her eyes suddenly landed on the dumbstruck Peter. “Oh, you little punk! How dare you help other people gang up on the girl who saved your life!”
“I…”
Peter frantically waved his hands, desperate to explain.
“If it wasn’t out of respect for me, do you really think she would’ve wasted her time doing research with you?” Michelle snapped without mercy. “You march over there right now and apologize to her! Otherwise, the next time I see you, I’ll break your damn legs!”
Out of respect for her?
It finally dawned on Peter. No wonder his little sovereign had been so attentive to him back then.
Professor Michelle had pulled some strings!
“Yes, yes, of course!”
Peter nodded vigorously, throwing a beaming smile in her direction. “My little sovereign, please be the bigger person and forgive this fool, bswear I meant absolutely no offense.”
Everyone else were completely dumbfounded.
With a titan of the industry vouching for her and hard video evidence to back it up, anyone with eyes could see she was the real deal.
But-
How on earth was she that incredible when she was only a teenager?!
They didn’t understand it, but they definitely respected it!
“So, is my signature valid or not?”
Juniper pursed her lips, lifting her gaze slightly as she spoke with total nonchalance.
“If you guys still don’t believe me, I can log into the official Nocturne website account right now.”
As she spoke, she clicked a link on the browser, effortlessly typing in the username and password. The massive screen instantly loaded the official portal age for “DE
Nocturne.”
FindNovel.net
The screen was filled with every single medical breakthrough she had achieved over
the years.
“I guess you still don’t believe me?”
A smile played on her lips, but her
eyes were ice-cold as she
enunciated every word Should! start reciting my publications for you, beginning from my very first thesis?”
Everyone else: “Huh???”
Before anyone could even react, she parted her red lips, her crisp voice ringing out through the hall.
She recited an entire paper flawlessly, without missing a single beat.
Just as she was about to start the second one, Peter frantically called for her to
stop, offering an apologetic smile. “We believe you! We absolutely believe you!”
Every sentence she recited felt like a slap across their faces.
They were true believers now.
They had learned their lesson. Please have mercy, Dr. Nocturne.
