Chapter 1568
[ 532 words ]
It was a direct, brutal takedown. There wasn’t a single curse word, but the insult cut unbelievably deep.
Kian opened his mouth, trying to retort.
Melvin cut him off. “Tell me, why would Janet pursue you? What exactly does she see in you?”
“Average height, average looks, and absolutely no class.”
“What makes you worth her begging for?”
“Look me in the eyes and answer me!”
Melvin practically roared the last sentence.
His voice was so loud that a few girls nearby taking photos nearly dropped their phones in fright.
“Oh my god, Melvin looks even hotter when he’s mad. I kinda want him to slap me.”
“12”
“But honestly, I used to think Kian was pretty cute. Standing next to Melvin, though,
his presence is completely crushed, let alone anything else.”
“Why isn’t Kian saying anything? I thought he was the victim here?”
“Kian.”
He remained silent, but his girlfriend rushed over, aggressively demanding, “Tell them how Janet wouldn’t leave you alone!”
“She…”
Kian looked at his girlfriend, his eyes and expression screaming guilt.
“Say it!” she urged, annoyed. “I know Janet has connections, but with so many people watching, she wouldn’t dare pull anything shady.”
The girl was from a neighboring university. After Kian spun his sob story to her, she had immediately rushed over to demand justice.
Didn’t Janet just say she wanted to confront Kian?
Perfect.
He’s right here.
“Of course he can’t say it.”
Watching Kian’s pathetic demeanor,
Melvin let out a couple of cold laughs and lifted his lazy gaze. “Because the one who obsessively chased a girl and then threw a tantrum and spread nasty rumors online after getting rejected, is Kian.”
“You’re talking nonsense.”
The girl firmly believed her boyfriend and shot back coldly “Kian only
loves me He doesn’t even look net
anyone else.”
“Is that right?”
Melvin gave a faint smirk and pulled a few printouts from his bag.
They contained the profiles of several girls, which he read out one by one:
“Laura, Albright University, a freshman in political science. Your girlfriend of three months.”
At those words, Kian’s head snapped up, the color draining entirely from his face.
“Wanda, Marisburg University, a sophomore majoring in language arts. Your girlfriend.”
“Melissa, Eclara University, East Campus, a sophomore in linguistics. Your girlfriend…”
There were several more, all from different schools and different majors.
“You say you’re his girlfriend,” Melvin sneered icily. “Please tell me, Kian, who are all these other women to you?”
Kian stood frozen, completely stunned that Melvin had investigated him so thoroughly.
“Kian, who are they?” the woman asked, looking at him in confusion.
Seeing his awful complexion and how he guiltily hung his head, she seemed to realize something.
The crowd exchanged puzzled glances and began whispering among themselves.
“If Janet is two-timing, what does that make Kian? An octopus wouldn’t even have enough tentacles for this!”
“Wait, wait, wait. So the tables have turned? The cheater is Kian?”
“Oh my god, Kian is the real master of time management!”
“Melvin seems to know everything! Can he talk faster? I need to get to class after I finish this drama!”
“As for the IP address that posted the rumors smearing Janet online, I found that too.”
Before Kian could recover, Melvin dealt the fatal blow.
“Care to explain yourself again, Kian? Why did you use five different accounts on the university forum to put on a one-man show playing the victim while dropping ‘exposés”?”
