I’m excited about seeing Christian tonight, but also a bit nervous. I need to be on my behavior if he’s going to consider letting me sleep in his bed with him.

I wasn’t joking about how good my sleep was. It was the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a couple of months. I know it’s because I feel safe with Christian. He may say that he struggles to maintain control around me, but to me, he’s always in control and he always makes sure that everything is in order, and the pack is safe. I know he’s making sure that Shane is trained to take over this pack in two years, and those things, along with how Christian makes me feel, make me feel safe with him.
It’s why I chose him to be my first. I just thought that it would have happened by now.
I shower and put on my bathrobe before looking at the clock. It’s a little before nine, but I’m hoping he’s already in his room. When I step out, I pass Shane. We both nod, but neither of us acknowledges that I’m leaving my bedroom, at night, in only a robe, headed to Christian’s
room.
When I turn, Christian is standing at his door, waiting for me.
“Did you have a good day, Enya?” he asks as I walk into his room.
“It was busier than I expected, ” I tell him honestly.
“I’d love to hear all about it. But I haven’t had a chance to shower since warrior training, so give me a few minutes. You can relax, have a drink, or just wait for me. I won’t take too long, ” he says.
When the shower turns on, I can’t help but think of Christian naked in the next room. I wonder what it would be like to shower with him. Those thoughts don’t help me to relax, so I sit on the couch and close my eyes. The busy day of moving inventory around has made my shoulders tight and sore. I tilt my head to each side, stretching my neck muscles and listening to my joints pop.
I smell him when he comes out of the shower, the scent of his soap clinging to his already clean, masculine scent.
“Sore?” he asks, walking up behind me and beginning to rub my shoulders.

“Yes,” I say, not opening my eyes. “And that feels fantastic.”
“Why are you so tight?” he asks, pulling my robe down over my shoulders so he can rub my shoulders more intensely.
“The hospital storeroom was a mess. I spent the day organizing it, rather than being able to take inventory.”
I moan softly as his hands work their magic on my stiff, sore muscles.
“I noticed you weren’t as quick during warrior training this afternoon. I’m assuming this is why. Your muscles are in knots. Why don’t you get on the bed. I’ll be better able to massage you there.”
I open my eyes, seeing him looking down at me from above.
“Face up or face down?” I ask.
“That depends. Are you more interested in getting a massage on your shoulders and back, or do you want me to massage you for a while then move into the sensual massage that will get you ready for us to have sex?”
“Are we having sex tonight?” I ask, standing up, and removing my robe.
“Not in the way you’re thinking. We won’t be doing that for several more nights in fact.
