“We’re looking forward to you coming home, both of you. We love you,” Christian says.
“We love you too. Get some rest, Enya,” I say.
“I will. My mate will make sure of it.”
Christian begins purring before saying goodbye.
When we hang up, I look at Shane. “Why do I feel so overwhelmed?”
He smiles and kisses me softly. “Because you, my brave, powerful, passionate woman, feel everything strongly. This was a big day for them, which makes it important to you.”
I nod and lean my head on his shoulder. I realized something very important about Shane over the past few months. He
ne, he understands me in ways that not many people do. But beyond that, or maybe in spite of that, he still loves me.
I lift my head and kiss his throat. He growls/softly but doesn’t stop me.
“Is it time to study for sex class?” he purrs.
“It definitely is.”
Sex with Shane has only gotten better. We’ve done and tried everything, finding every possible way to make the other person come undone. It’s been fun and exciting and each time we’ve felt the bonds between us strengthen.

After hearing about Cole and Cassie, I approached her to talk with her about her feelings of Cole and the mate bond. She was thrilled to know that I was willing to talk about it, and sharing our experiences has brought us closer together. I know that Shane and I will remain close with the two of them after graduation.
Two weeks after getting the news of Ciara’s birth, we celebrated Cole’s eighteenth birthday. Shane and I obviously have a vested interest in knowing if they are going to be mates. I don’t see how we couldn’t be mates, but there’s still that possibility that we won’t be. When Cole nodded at Shane, basically saying that his feelings for Cassie had intensified even further, I felt something relax inside me.
Then, two days before graduation, the four of us waited up to see if we were right. Almost exactly at midnight, Cassie’s eyes had widened.
“Mate!” she said and began to cry.
“Mate!” Cole had growled.
We’d left them to celebrate and the next morning, bot shown up with fresh mate marks on their necks.

Tonight, we’re having our graduation ceremony. No matter what happens, I know that I’ve done my best and I’ve done it for myself, not my family.

short–sighted that was on my part. My life is only just beginning and there are so many incredible things that I want to achieve. Getting my name on the leaderboard is a great achievement, but it’s temporary. Someday, another amazing Alpha will take my place on the leaderboard. But there are other ways that I can make a difference, make an impact in the lives of others that will stay with them forever.
Nicholas is just one example of that. After he got over his mental block about The Beast, the rest just seemed to start falling into place for him and he, like everyone else in our class, will be graduating this semester.
“Good evening, everyone,” Dane begins. “Tonight, our last night together, we’ve planned a celebratory feast.”
