It seems that everyone is feeling the change on the return home. The trip to the Academy was filled with laughter and drinking and of course, Nicholas being an ass. Now though, everyone is quieter. We all know what we’re walking into when we get home. Every Alpha heir is about to take over their pack and everyone who isn’t an heir is about to start their life in the real world.
Tiana and I spend our time with our friends, talking to Cole and Cassie about their plans.

“Well, I know one thing you’re going to do. You’re going to be at my birthday party in a week,” I say.
“And mine a week after that,” Tiana says. “Maybe the four of us could stay up until midnight the night before my birthday,” she says nervously.
There’s still the slight chance that we’re not fated mates, but I just don’t see it. After talking to Cole, he said Cassie’s scent became even more mouth–watering when he turned eighteen and at midnight on her birthday, everything snapped into place. I expect that in two weeks, that will be the same for me and Tiana, and I can’t wait.

So, at the second stop, Tiana stays on board the train and Cassie leaves with Cole. We hug goodbye then watch as they approach Cole’s father and brother. His father grins when he sees the number three hanging on his son’s neck, and then the look changes to shock when Cole introduces Cassie.
