A faint smile touched Zhao Hua’s lips. “That’s a good question.”
“Then answer it.”
“Maybe because someone is protecting her,” Zhao Hua said casually. “Someone who doesn’t want the world to know she’s still alive.”
A name surfaced in Falcon’s mind almost instantly.

Zhao Hua didn’t look surprised. “I figured as much.”
Falcon’s gaze sharpened. “Why?”
“Because only someone like him would be bold enough,” Zhao replied lightly. “Or foolish enough to keep hiding her without making any kind of official announcement.”
Falcon rested his elbow on the table, his fingers interlacing. “He hasn’t made any announcement.”
“That’s exactly what makes it interesting,” Zhao Hua said. “If he really has that girl, why hide her?”
Falcon said nothing, waiting.
“Is he truly protecting her?” Zhao continued. “Or… is he simply waiting for the right moment?”
“For what?”
Zhao met his eyes directly. “To take over what remains of the Black Dragon.”
“Isn’t he already leading the Black Dragon right now?”
Zhao clapped his hands once, a faint, amused smile tugging at his lips. “Impressive. You’ve done your homework. And you’re right, he is the current leader of that clan.” He shifted slightly in his seat. “Unfortunately, he can’t stay at the top for long.
Falcon’s brow furrowed.
“The only way for him to secure his position,” Zhao Hua went on, “is to marry the heir. Everyone knows that. But in reality… Chen Kailun already has a wife.”

A faint smile formed on Falcon’s lips. “Interesting,” he murmured.
Zhao Hua watched the change without comment.
Falcon closed the tablet and rose to his feet. “I won’t kill her.”

Falcon glanced at him briefly. “I’ll take her myself.”

“And you’re not interested in claiming it?”
Zhao laughed again, this time more openly. “And go up against Kai?” He gave a small shrug. “I have no desire to stain myself with blood and walk away wounded. I’m quite comfortable where I am.”
Falcon leaned forward slightly. “If I share a portion of the power with you, would you be willing to help me?”
A faint smirk tugged at Zhao’s lips. “You’re very confident, Mr. Don Falcon.”
“Because I won’t let that girl remain in Cale Miller’s grasp,” Falcon said, his voice steady, certain. “She’s mine. No matter what, she’ll only ever be mine.”
Zhao let out a satisfied laugh, clearly entertained. “In that case, you’d better prepare for the worst. Chen Kailun is not someone you want as an enemy. He’s the kind of nightmare that doesn’t end.”
“Are you going to help me or not?” Falcon dismissed the warning without a second thought. In his mind, everything could still be controlled, bent under his command.
Zhad tilted his head slightly, as if considering. “I’m not sure,” he said with a casual shrug. “If it’s just a small share, I’m not interested. But if we’re talking about TnC, the one Chen Kailun owns, then we can discuss your next move.” His smile sharpened. “And I’ll make sure my people stand behind you. What do you say?”
