Chapter 505 You’re standing up for Sera too?

Voren did not immediately think of Ravyn’s question, knowing the next would be about the slap. Among the gathered Alphas, striking another Alpha was a serious offense, one that could easily turn the entire room against Corvine and lead to demands for punishment.

His mind raced, already searching for a way to protect his Beta from the consequences.

Before anyone could react, Damon suddenly wore a remorseful expression and hurried toward Ravyn.

“Ravyn, I’m really sorry.” He bent down and offered him a hand. “That bottle rolled off my table, and I didn’t even notice until it was too late.” His face was full of fake concern. “Are you okay?”

Ravyn accepted the help and climbed back to his feet. His jaw was clenched so tightly the muscles twitched along the side of his face.

For a moment he had been convinced Kael was the one responsible for making him fall. After all, Kael was no longer a member of the Grimroot Pack, so there was nothing stopping him from interfering. “It’s fine.”

Ravyn brushed the matter aside, even though the embarrassment still burned hot under his skin. “Just be more careful next time.”

As soon as the words left his mouth, another thought crossed his mind. His brows furrowed. “Someone grabbed my arm from behind.” His sharp eyes swept across the room. “Who was it?”

“It was me.” Kael stepped forward without the slightest hesitation. There wasn’t a trace of fear on his face.

Ravyn narrowed his eyes. “You?”

Kael folded his arms across his chest. “Did you really think I’d stand there and watch you attack my chairwoman?”

Ravyn frowned. “Chairwoman?” His confusion was obvious as Kael nodded toward Seraphine. “Sera is the chairwoman of MindNest.” He motioned toward Corvine. “She’s Corvine’s boss.”

Then he pointed at himself. “And now Corvine is my boss.” A faint smile crossed his lips. “So if you lay a hand on her…” His expression hardened. “You’re picking a fight with me too.”

The realization finally hit Ravyn. His lips slowly curved into an amused smile. “So…” He chuckled mockingly. “The two of you actually think you can bring me down?”

“If that’s what it takes.” Corvine answered without missing a beat. His calm expression never changed. “You almost hit Sera.” He took one step closer. “If protecting her means standing in your way…” His voice turned firm. “Then you’ll have to kill me first.”

“And me.” Kael stood shoulder to shoulder with Corvine. Neither man showed the slightest intention of backing down. The atmosphere grew even heavier.

Then another voice joined them. “And me.” Everyone turned toward Prince Jasper. His handsome face still carried the weight of disappointment, but his eyes remained determined. “I know she’s married now.”

His gaze settled gently on Seraphine. “But that doesn’t change anything.” He looked back at Ravyn. “I still care about her.” His voice became unwavering. “And I won’t let you hurt her.”

Even Seraphine looked surprised. Jasper had every reason to walk away after learning she was married but instead, he chose to stay. Watching everything unfold, Voren couldn’t help feeling impressed.

Without asking anyone for help, Seraphine had somehow gathered loyal people around her, people willing to stand beside her when things got difficult. Even after Jasper’s heart had been broken only moments ago, he was still protecting her.

Before Voren could process that thought, another unexpected voice echoed through the gym. “I stand with Luna Sera as well.” Every head turned.

It was Alpha Killian. The mysterious Alpha stepped forward, his face as unreadable as ever. His quiet voice somehow carried through the entire room.

“Alpha Ravyn…” He looked directly at him. “I believe you’re being unfair.” His eyes narrowed slightly. “And I’m still waiting to hear how you killed her daughter.”

The gym fell into another uncomfortable silence. Voren studied Killian carefully. He didn’t know whether to feel relieved or worried. Very little was known about Alpha Killian.

Even members of his own pack rarely spoke about him. Everything about the man remained a mystery, and that made him difficult to trust.

Nearby, Vladimir watched the scene unfold with a broad smile stretching across his face. He looked happier than he had in years. Olivia, however, felt as though knives were twisting inside her chest.

She lowered her eyes, hiding the bitterness that threatened to spill onto her face. Ever since the truth had come out, Vladimir had become someone she barely recognized.

He still kept his late wife’s preserved body in their room at the Grimroot Pack. Every day, he spoke to the lifeless woman with heartbreaking tenderness, as though she could still hear him.

Only after spending time beside her would he return to the Centenary Pack. Olivia had seen the wish he wrote on his white sheet during the full moon festival, a wish she prayed would never come true.

The memory alone made her chest ache. Life had become nothing but suffering. Since the revelations, Vladimir had forced her to sleep on the cold floor.

Whenever an opportunity appeared, he made sure she paid for every lie she’d ever told. Then there was Seraphine. The woman whose return had uncovered every secret.

Seeing powerful men stand beside Seraphine one after another only deepened Olivia’s resentment. Why… why did Seraphine always have people willing to protect her?

Suddenly Ravyn burst into laughter. The sound immediately drew everyone’s attention back to him. He brushed imaginary dust from his clothes before lifting his head. “I wasn’t actually going to hit her.” His smile looked forced. “I only wanted to scare her a little.”

“I don’t believe you.” The deep voice cut through the room before anyone else could respond. Every pair of eyes turned toward Voren. The Alpha’s expression remained calm, but the coldness in his eyes was impossible to miss.

Ravyn stared at him in disbelief. His brows shot upward. “You…” His voice was filled with shock. “You’re standing up for Sera too?”
