Chapter 488 Kiss me for a million.
Daisy sat there with this smug little grin plastered across her face, totally convinced that Seraphine was just putting on some fake-smart act.
There was zero chance this whole thing would blow up in Seraphine’s favor so she continued to act shrewdly.
“If you can walk right up to Alpha Voren, kiss him, and loudly tell him you love him, then he’ll have to make a real choice,” Daisy declared. “He either accepts your feelings or shuts you down. If he rejects you, you take the full punishment. But if he actually accepts you, I’ll step in and take the punishment instead.”
Seraphine slowly raised an eyebrow, her face calm and thoughtful like she was turning every single word over in her mind.
A part of her wanted to laugh because the Alpha in question was her husband, a man who would do anything for her. Seraphine’s main reason for playing this game was to let Daisy face another embarrassment right before her coronation tomorrow.
And after her coronation, Seraphine was going to turn Daisy’s world upside down. “You’re really sure about that? You’ll take the punishment for me if I pull this off?”
The whole crowd exploded into a storm of whispers right away.
“Luna Sera better not do this. Alpha Voren’s gonna humiliate her in front of everybody.”
“I can’t believe she’s actually falling for Daisy’s obvious trap.”
“She’s just gonna end up embarrassing herself again, just like at the last Full Moon Festival.”
Daisy picked up on all the doubt swirling through the voices and jumped in fast before Seraphine could back out. “I always keep my word, no matter what.”
Seraphine turned her attention to Ravyn, who had been sitting back quietly, watching the whole scene unfold. “Alpha Ravyn, do you agree to this dare?”
Ravyn frowned hard. This whole mess had started as nothing more than some silly game between the she-wolves, and now he was getting sucked right into the middle of it.
Even worse, he knew Voren way too well. There was no universe where his friend would actually kiss Seraphine, no matter how this played out.
“I thought this was supposed to be a game just for the she-wolves,” he said, his brows knitting together in confusion. “What the hell does it have to do with me?”
A small smile played across Seraphine’s lips, but there wasn’t even a flicker of warmth in her eyes. She gave him the chance to save his bitch and he threw it right back in her face.
“If I’m really taking this dare, then I don’t want just Daisy facing the consequences if I win. I want her best friends, Luna Joyce and Mayo, standing right beside her and taking it too.”
Joyce and Mayo froze instantly, looking like they were about to bolt and scream no at the top of their lungs.
Daisy’s eyes flashed with fierce determination. She sent them text messages on their phones since non – pack members could not communicate with pack members through mind link.
’She can’t win this. Alpha Voren would never kiss her, and there’s absolutely no way he’d accept some big love confession from her.’
That reassurance washed over Joyce and Mayo, calming their racing hearts. They shot each other a quick glance before turning back to Seraphine.
“We’re in,” they said together.
Seraphine gave a faint nod and looked around at the massive bonfire gathering. The lively party atmosphere started to die down fast as more and more people caught on to the crazy drama happening.
Some folks were still clutching food in their hands, others had drinks halfway to their mouths, and every single one of them was dying to see Seraphine crash and burn in spectacular fashion.
Seraphine’s voice rang out clear and strong across the entire crowd. “Does everybody here agree to this dare?”
A massive roar came back almost instantly. “Yes!”
Howls and wild cheers exploded through the bonfire gathering, echoing everywhere.
A ton of them had been pissed at Seraphine ever since she shut down their chance to invest in her businesses, so watching her make a total fool of herself felt like sweet payback.
With no one objecting, Seraphine slowly stood up, a helpless little smile spreading across her face. “In that case… I guess I don’t really have much of a choice here.”
Without another word, she started walking straight toward Voren. Every single step she took pulled more eyes her way.
Conversations dropped off one by one until pretty much the entire bonfire was locked onto her, the tension thick enough to choke on.
Voren sat relaxed among the other Alphas, a glass of vodka hanging loosely in his hand. One of the Alphas leaned forward with a big amused grin. “Alpha Voren, looks like Luna Seraphine is heading your way. You really gonna let her kiss you?”
“He won’t,” Ravyn answered before Voren even had a chance to react. He took another casual swig of vodka, completely sure of how this was gonna go down.
Through all of it, Voren stayed dead silent. His face gave nothing away, but those sharp eyes stayed glued on Seraphine as she walked right up to him without missing a beat.
Before anyone could even try to guess what wild move she had planned, she stopped directly in front of him. Then, with zero hesitation, she slid herself right onto his lap.
A stunned silence slammed over the entire gathering. Several mouths dropped wide open. A few people nearly spilled their drinks or dropped their food from pure shock.
Daisy’s confident smile vanished in an instant. Joyce and Mayo’s faces turned dark with fury, their hearts hammering so hard they could feel it pounding in their ears.
Every instinct screamed at them to rush over and yank Seraphine right off Voren’s lap.
But before they could even twitch, Seraphine shocked them all over again. She reached up, grabbed Voren firmly by the collar, and pulled him close until their faces were just inches apart.
Her beautiful eyes locked onto his with zero fear. “Alpha Voren,” she murmured, her voice calm yet impossible to ignore, carrying that perfect mix of sweetness and steel, “kiss me for a million, or lose all our business collaborations.”
