Chapter 210
“Rebecca, how do you have the nerve to say that to me?” Penelope scoffed. “You’re the one who deserves a taste of your own medicine. But don’t worry, your turn is coming.”
With that, she followed the officers to the police station to give her statement. After answering their questions, she was free to go.
Norton and a reluctant-looking Timothy were waiting outside. They must have heard what happened and come to pick her up. Just as she walked down the steps, Theodore pulled up in his car.
She called Hogan and asked him to handle the aftermath of the crash.
One yesterday, another today. A Porsche and now a Ferrari.
Hogan didn’t say a word, but the pain was written all over his face.
Theodore got out of the car, his expression dark. Penelope decided that keeping ‘The Money’ happy was her top priority, so she bypassed Norton and Timothy and ran straight to him.
“Uh, both of your cars got wrecked on my watch. I don’t think I can afford to pay you back.”
Both cars were worth millions. She really couldn’t afford it.
At her words, Theodore’s expression soured even more.
“Then sell yourself.”
“Huh?”
“My wife. Theodore’s wife should fetch a pretty penny.”
‘The Money’ was always so domineering, but somehow, it sounded so good coming from him.
She let out a little sigh. “Who would want me, besides you?”
“I don’t want you either.”
“Don’t say that! I have to pay you back with myself!”
She burrowed into his arms. When he tried to push her away, she just held on tighter, wrapping her arms around his waist and clinging to his arm, whispering sweet nothings like she was a brand ambassador for Sugar Bliss. If she had a tail, it would have been wagging furiously.
Finally, her antics wore him down.
“Alright, that’s enough. As long as you’re not hurt.”
Penelope giggled. “I knew my husband was the best!”
Norton and Timothy watched the scene, completely dumbfounded.
“My ‘Mr. Freeze’ is actually starting to melt,” Norton muttered.
“She’s as shameless as she was when we were kids,” Timothy grumbled.
To calm her nerves, Penelope treated them all to dinner.
But throughout the meal, only she and Norton talked animatedly. Theodore had left a meeting to come see her and was now catching up on work, while Timothy sat with a perpetual scowl, occasionally
shooting glares at Theodore.
“Is this your husband?” Timothy asked Penelope.
“He’s handsome, right?” Penelope said, placing a wasabi-crusted shrimp on his plate.
“Not eating it,” he retorted, pushing it back.
“I’ll eat it!” Norton snatched it with his fork and popped it into his mouth.
Timothy shot Norton a look of disgust.
“So he’s this thing’s brother?”
“That’s rude. You’re a month younger than Norton.”
“I don’t recognize your family’s hierarchy.” Fresh chapters posted on.net
“That’s fine. If you won’t call Theodore ‘brother’, I can call you ‘little brother’. Here,
little brother, let me get you a piece of braised short rib.”
Timothy’s face contorted with
annoyance. “Given his character, d advise you to reconsider his brother. Is hereally worth marrying, ondo you just enjoy being mistreated?”
Penelope reasoned, “While I don’t know much about Norton’s character, your argument is flawed Character isn’t hereditary. A

determine his sibling’s. Take you and me, for example. I’m shameless, you’re thin-skinned. I love to laugh, you don’t. I enjoy making friends, you find it a hassle
“Just shut up. I’m not talking to someone with water for brains.”
The restaurant had a self-serve fruit bar. Norton dragged Penelope over to get
some, leaving Theodore and Timothy alone at the table.
Theodore looked up at Timothy. “You seem to have a problem with me.”
