Chapter 660
“I really love you! I don’t care if you see other women, I don’t care how badly you treat me. As long as you’re willing to let me stay by your side, I’ll do anything you say!”
“Are you reciting lines to me?”
Natalie saw that the hairpin had already broken the actress’s skin and blood was starting to trickle out. She shoved Marico anxiously.
“That hairpin might be a prop, but it’s still sharp! If she really stabs herself, she could die!”
Marico was getting annoyed. “I slept with her once and gave her ten grand. What more does she want?”
“Didn’t you hear her? It’s not about the money. Just humor her for a minute, at least stop her from doing something stupid right now.”
“How?”
“Tell her you’re not breaking up with her!”
“But I was never dating her.”
“Marico!”
“My only virtue is honesty. I don’t lie to others, and I don’t lie to myself.”
Natalie pressed her forehead. Getting through to him feels like cracking a code. “Fine, then at least get her to put down the hairpin, can you do that?”
After she said that, Marico jumped down from the rock and walked toward the
actress.
Seeing Marico approach, the actress’s eyes lit up.
“I knew you cared about me. You…”
Before she could finish, Marico reached her, snatched the hairpin from her hand without a word, tossed it aside, and then shoved her out of the way.
“Don’t block the road!”
With that, he turned, got into his car, and prepared to drive off.
Natalie was too stunned to react, but the actress did. Crying, she ran back to block the car.
“I don’t want to live anyway! Just run me over!”
And Marico actually started the car, accelerating toward her with no regard for her
life.
Natalie gasped and lunged, pulling
the actress out of the way just as

Marco’s car didnt even slow down as it sped past.
The shock left the actress completely dazed.
“He really didn’t care if I lived or died.”
Natalie glanced at the retreating car, then back at the actress, and let out a deep breath. “You should get your head checked I cant believe you fell for that piece of trash.”
“But… he was so good to me.”
“Yeah, real good. He almost killed you.”
The other crew members arrived then and helped take the actress back. In her
state, there was no way she could film today.
Unable to get leave, Natalie had to call the teacher and explain the situation.
The next day, Natalie had her assistant take Kristin to school.
Kristin hadn’t thought much of it, but when she got to school and saw all the other kids with a parent, she started to feel sad.
Kristin thought it over and decided to make a phone call.
“You want me to pretend to be your dad?”
Marico had been out late last night and was still in bed when the call woke him. He
was surprised to hear Kristin’s voice on the other end.
Kristin said very seriously, “I think you’re a good fit.”
“Hah, I don’t just go around playing dad for anyone.”
“I’ll pay you.”
“I’m very expensive.”
“I’ll give you all my money.”
“All of it?”
“It’s a lot.”
“Alright then, sounds like I’m about to make a fortune.”
Marico actually agreed. He had nothing planned for the day, and the thought of how angry Natalie would be when she found out he drosed he’d as her daughter’s father for @school event was too amusing to pass up.
