Just as Stella had expected

Evan was still locked in a meeting with the board when Dora’s calls started coming in, one after another.
The directors and major shareholders were already furious over what Hogarth Group had been doing to the
company.
So for this meeting, Evan hadn’t even brought his phone into the room.
Every time Dora called, it was Patrick who picked up.
“Ma’am.”
His tone was respectful.
“Put Evan on the phone. Now!”
Even through the line, Patrick could hear how unstable her voice was.
“I’m sorry, ma’am. Mr. Wright is in a meeting.”
“What meeting? I’m about to die here! If he doesn’t come back and throw that woman out right now, I really WILL die!”
Patrick went silent for a second.
He could feel his own headache coming on.
Evan had made it very clear-no interruptions, no matter what.
He didn’t dare walk in lightly.
Dora’s voice rose sharply, almost hysterical.
“Tell him it’s gone! Everything’s gone! Burned to the ground!”
Patrick’s heart skipped.
“Which properties?”
୮
The moment she said ‘burned’, his mind flashed to the fire at Inkwood Manor… and Ruby’s Bayview estate.
Now Dora was saying the same thing.
Could it be-
Stella?
“Barlson View. Blue Meyer. Fiona’s Baylor and Farrier Road properties. All of them. All gone!”
Her voice trembled with rage.
“Those were premium properties! I was planning to sell some of them at peak prices. And now they’re all destroyed by that woman!”
“And Summer’s side too-”
She cut herself off, breatkuneven.
“I don’t even know what happened there yet. I just know she went out!”
Dora was losing control.
“That woman came back for revenge! She’s trying to drag every single one of us down with her!”
Her voice cracked into a full scream.
“Ask him this after all this, does he STILL want to keep her?!?
Patrick didn’t hesitate any longer.
He pushed open the conference room door.
Inside, the atmosphere was already tense.
Several directors and shareholders looked visibly displeased.
Evan’s expression darkened the moment he saw him.
“Didn’t I tell you not to come in?”
“I’m sorry… but this is urgent.”
Patrick’s face was tight.
Under Evan’s cold stare, he stepped forward and lowered his voice.
He had intended to hand over the phone-
but thinking of Dora’s state, he decided against it.
Instead, he leaned in and relayed everything quickly.
As he spoke-
Evan’s already grim expression turned even darker.
His breathing grew uneven.
He looked up sharply. “She did all this?”
*She*-
there was no need to say the name.
Patrick nodded. “Multiple fires at once. It’s too coordinated to be anything else.”
For a split second-
Evan’s vision went black.

Not just Dora-
even he felt a surge of anger hit him head-on.
That woman…
So this was her plan?
To come back and ‘tear the Wright family apart piece by piece?
Over those past grievances-
was she really willing to go this far?
So many properties-
and she destroyed them just like that.
