When Ruby learned the full truth, she nearly lost control.

Especially after Alex called to confirm that Bay International had been reduced to nothing but a skeletal frame.

Dora’s temples throbbed.

Stella had gone too far.

“Please rest assured,” she said stiffly. “The Wright family will give you an answer.’

Ruby let out a cold laugh.

“I must have been blind to marry my daughter into your family.”

Summer fell silent immediately.

She needed to stay in the Wright household – needed to keep Evan close.

Ruby shot her a warning look, and Summer didn’t dare speak again.

Dora, who had already felt cornered over the situation, finally reached her limit.
