Chapter 810
When it came to men, you had to know when to let go.
That had been true of Evan.
And now, Stella felt the same way about Felix
It was a difficult night for her.
She barely slept, drifting in and out of uneasy half-dreams.
By the next morning, she looked exhausted.
Gray’s expression was grave when he saw her too,
Stella sat down in the dining room and looked at him.
“Did you find Summer?”
The moment she asked, she knew the answer was probably no.
Gray’s face had already told her that much.
He shook his head solemnly.
“No.”

No.
Stella said nothing.
She only looked at him in silence.
When she had ordered Summer dealt with the night before, Felix’s reaction had already told her it would not be easy.
And just as she expected…
“Mr. Hernandez’s people got to Crown Bay before ours did,” Gray said. “They took Summer away. We don’t know where they brought her.”
Stella went still.
Felix’s people had taken Summer away.
It was the outcome she had expected.
But hearing it confirmed still left an uncomfortable ache in her chest.
Why did it have to be Felix?
The way he was protecting Summer now was every bit as forceful as Evan had once been.
“Miss…”
“Don’t.”
Stella closed her eyes.
She did not want to hear any more.
“Maybe you should ask Mr. Hernandez what’s really going on.”
Chapter 816-
The explanation that Summer was Felix’s father’s mistress made no sense.
If that were true, Felix should have been even less willing to tolerate her.
And yet he was protecting her.
Gray could not believe there was not a deeper reason behind it.
Something was wrong.
The entire situation was wrong.
There had to be a reason.
“What do you think it is?”
Stella glanced at Gray.
Gray fell silent.
What reason could there be?
“What could possibly have Felix trapped like this?”
Gray said nothing.
Stella was right.
What in the world could force Felix’s hand?
Evan had been the same.
There had only ever been things he wanted to do and things he did not.
Nothing he could not do.
Everyone knew what Felix was capable of.
If he had not wanted to save Summer, then no reason in the world could have made him do it.
What did his father’s mistress matter?
Felix did not even always listen to his father.
Why would he care about a mistress?
A chill settled through Stella’s body.
Gray let out a quiet sigh, not knowing what else to say.
Stella took a spoonful of porridge.
Not long after, Felix arrived.
But he was different today.
There was a coolness around him.
It was obvious.
The moment he walked in, Stella could feel it.
The housekeeper still had breakfast brought out for him, as though everyone had expected he would come

Chapter S10-
Felix took the seat beside Stella and watched her drink her porridge quietly.
From the moment he entered, she had not looked up once.
She had not even given him an extra glance.
“Mr. Hernandez, your breakfast.”
“Thank you.”
Felix’s voice was low.
It sounded rough, as though his throat was bothering him.
