Chapter 1216
Stella said it outright.
Before, she had only been quietly planning to leave.
But now, she was saying it to his face.
Felix stared at her.
“What did you say?”
“From now on, you go your way and I’ll go mine. We have nothing to do with each other.”
Every word was cold and firm.
She was truly exhausted.
She couldn’t see through any of it anymore.
And she didn’t want to.
She didn’t want to keep getting dragged into this endless mess.
Right or wrong, guilt or blame, she didn’t care anymore.
She wanted nothing more to do with any of it.
Felix’s expression darkened.
“You want to go back to Harbor City and find him?”
Stella fell silent.
Find him.
Evan?
She closed her eyes.
She didn’t answer.
But all she felt was exhaustion.
She had never planned to go back to Evan.
What would she even go back for?
To apologize?
To make it up to him?
No.
She didn’t want to.

Even knowing now that everything she had done before might have been wrong, she still didn’t want to face any
of it.
“Felix, I’m really tired,” she said quietly. “Please just let me go.”
“Let you go so you can run back to Evan?”
Stella said nothing.
“Don’t even think about it, Stella.”
She looked at him.
“What happened is already in the past,” Felix said, his voice growing harsher. “There’s no going back. I need you to understand that.”
This was the first time he had spoken to her this sharply.
Maybe…
Maybe learning that everything from before had been based on a mistake, combined with Stella’s obvious reaction to Evan, had finally scared him.
He had already failed to win her heart back all this time.
And now the past had been ripped open again, only making her even colder toward him.
Stella looked at him tiredly.
“Then can’t I let all of you become part of the past?”
If everything was already over, then she wanted all of it to be over.
Completely.
Felix fell silent.
“I want all of you out of my life,” Stella said. “Can’t you just disappear from my world?”
All of them.
Everyone who had entered her life from Harbor City to Eirden and beyond.
She didn’t want to see any of them anymore.
Felix’s chest tightened at the exhaustion in her voice.
He stepped forward and pulled her into his arms.
Stella didn’t struggle.
But when she spoke, her voice was ice cold.
“The leads Gray found back then all came from your people. So everything that went wrong was because of you, wasn’t it?”

There was no uncertainty in her voice now.
She wasn’t asking because she suspected him.
She had already decided.
She had placed all of those mistakes at Felix’s feet.
His arms tightened around her.
“If believing that makes you feel better, then believe it.”
Stella went still.
Believe it?
She lifted her head from his chest and looked at him.
“Felix.”
“If I tell you it had nothing to do with me, would you believe me?”
Stella said nothing.
“You don’t trust anyone anymore,” Felix continued. “Not just me. Anyone.”
That was true.
She had lost the ability to trust altogether.
“But one thing is certain. You’re not going back to him.”
Whether everything before had been right or wrong, Felix would never allow Stella to return to Evan.
“And there’s something else you need to understand,” he added. “If you show yourself alive again, do you know what kind of chaos that will cause?”
Chaos?
Felix’s gaze hardened.
“Evan probably hates you more than anything right now.”
Stella fell silent.
He probably did.
After all, Stella had started everything against the Wright family in Harbor City.
Then Aaron had taken Dora and the others to Eirden.
At this point, the grudges between them were too tangled to ever sort out.
But from Evan’s perspective, Stella was the one who had set all of it in motion.
