As Ariel watched Cecilia being dragged out, dazed, she could already guess what had happened.
There were plenty of police around.
Outside the club, the wealthy heirs seemed completely unbothered by what was happening.
Only Cecilia looked out of sorts. As she was being led away, she instinctively raised her head and caught sight of Jayson standing next to Ariel.
For a split second, her flawless face paled. There was suspicion and disbelief in her eyes, but she still got into the police car.
Only then did Samson snap out of his thoughts and go to negotiate with the police.

Samson stayed behind, his lips pressed tightly together as he fixed his gaze on Jayson. Just then, he started walking toward them.
“Mr. Larkin, is this a coincidence?”
When Samson walked over, his gaze lingered on Ariel’s face for a moment before he turned back to Jayson. “Are you just aware of Cecilia’s incident, or are you behind it?”
Jayson looked at him calmly. “What do you mean by that, Mr. Pryce? Ms. Pryce seems to have gotten herself into trouble. Shouldn’t you be handling that instead of wasting time asking me?”
Ariel raised a single brow.
Samson’s eyes darkened with cold intensity. “Mr. Larkin, that’s quite a boring answer.”
Cecilia was scheduled to leave the country tomorrow for her exhibition.
She had been hanging out with friends at the club, probably because of Jayson and probably because she couldn’t finish her last painting. While having fun, she ended up touching things she shouldn’t

The timing couldn’t have been more perfect.
The police had arrived precisely then. The club manager hadn’t even notified anyone in the private room before letting the police in.
No one got away. Now, everyone was subject to investigation.

He didn’t believe for a second that Cecilia’s arrest today was a coincidence. It had to be connected to Jayson. He was starting to retaliate.
Jayson reached out and took Ariel’s wrist, then looked at Samson with a cold, commanding authority. “It’s unfortunate what happened to Ms. Pryce. Mr. Pryce, you seem to have quite a mess to handle yourself. I won’t take up your time. You should go.”
He ignored Samson’s loaded question entirely. Gripping Ariel’s hand, he turned and walked away.
Ariel didn’t say a word. She didn’t give Samson so much as a glance.
As they walked away, Samson’s eyes couldn’t help but follow Ariel’s retreating figure. After a long moment, he clenched his fists.

Things would be fine if it could be handled quietly. But if Jayson got involved, it would probably be hard to control.

After entering one of the private rooms, Jayson pulled out a chair and settled Ariel.
Ariel had her suspicions about what had happened, but she asked anyway, “What happened to Cecilia?”
Jayson poured her a cup of water. “Drugs. She’ll probably have to undergo a urine test tonight and will be detained first.” 2
Even though Ariel had guessed it, hearing the confirmation still left her shocked.
It was obvious that Jayson had been keeping an eye on Cecilia secretly.
Ariel had wanted to dig up dirt on Cecilia too, but she wasn’t as smooth at it as Jayson.
