Ariel had no trouble recognizing the woman in the photo was Nancy. Moreover, Matt had included a caption with the picture.
“Being a consultant for the day.”
They were probably discussing and deciding how to give the house a brand new look, both inside and out.
When Ariel received Betty’s phone call, she had an inkling Jayson had torn down many of the structures inside their marital home to build a new one for Nancy.
After all, this house was located in one of the most strategic locations in Eldoria, so there were hardly any downsides to living there.
“He took her to the marital home in which the two of you had lived for three years. Is he already planning to have her move into the place?” Chad knitted his brows. “It looks like Jayson might be in a more of a hurry to divorce than you are.”
Ariel averted her gaze. “He’s tearing down a lot of the structures inside the house. The construction process will probably take several months.‘
They were likely at the stage where Nancy–the future Mrs Larkin–needed to decide on their interior design style.
“He’s absolutely heartless. A normal person would feel some form of attachment to someone or something they had been living with for three years.” Chad clicked his tongue, looking utterly displeased.

That night, Ariel stayed at the office for a bit longer since she was working overtime.
Now that their projects were going smoothly, Ariel also needed to start making preparations for her postgraduate studies.
Some time after 8:00 pm, Ariel received a call from Colton Ever since Jayson had changed his number, Ariel noticed that he would only contact her through Colton.
Considering they still had to settle the divorce procedures, riel didn’t just ignore these calls. She answered the phone. “Does he need something from me?”
A deep, emotionless voice came down the line. “It’s me. ”
Ariel paused briefly. “Mhm. Is something the matter?”
Jayson said unhurriedly, “You planted a few gardenias in our marital home’s garden. Do you still want them?”
Ariel finally recalled how it was Georgia who had been managing things at the marital home after she moved out of the place.
Back then, Ariel was suffering from a lot of distress and mental trauma because of her health problems. In the end, she just left a lot of the things that she cherished at the marital home unattended.
Ariel had been growing those gardenias even before she got married. Those plants were precious to her.
“I’ll head over to retrieve them.” She decided fairly quickly
Previously, Jayson got rid of her laptop. Now, he had decided to tear down and renovate the house’s interior. It seemed like Jayson planned on modifying the area around the house as well, since he was trying to remove the

After the incident with the laptop last time, Jayson had taken the initiative to ask Ariel about the gardenias first before taking any actions.
“You don’t have to come here,” Jayson slowly responded.
Ariel furrowed her brows. She heard him say next, “We dug up the gardenias and sent them to Larkin Manor this afternoon. You can just retrieve them there.”
Ariel’s expression remained unchanged. Her tone was cold and distant. “I’ll head over there right away.”
Jayson probably didn’t want to allow her to be anywhere near the marital home anymore. After all, they were modifying and renovating the whole place to prepare for their new life there. Besides, Nancy might get upset if she knew Ariel had been there.
Jayson replied in a husky voice, “Alright. Drive safe on your way
there.”

Ariel stared at Colton’s number, which was displayed on the screen. She could tell that Jayson was trying to keep his distance.
Even though he changed his phone number, Jayson had not once used his own number to call Ariel. Perhaps it was because he didn’t want Ariel to have his new contact details and risk getting involved with her again.
Anyhow, none of Jayson’s plans or thoughts had anything to do with Ariel anymore.
She swiftly packed her things. Then, Ariel grabbed her bag and headed downstairs.
It took her about 40 minutes to drive to Larkin Manor. Fortunately, there wasn’t much traffic on her way there.
