Chad’s brows lifted. “She’s the best engineer we have at Faye Tech. Mr. Zeale, you’re always welcome to discuss any technical problems with us.”
After the initial shock, Travis was now filled with awe. “That would be a great idea! The Faye Tech team is surprising us with all the talented people you have. It’s truly impressive.”
Travis was convinced that they would have a lot of interesting findings from today’s tender.
Ariel smiled slightly.
The tender commenced soon afterward. The process was rather complicated.
The organizers started by opening each tender response and announcing the bid. Then, the judges would review all the bids to conduct an overall evaluation.
Eventually, a successful bidder was chosen.
When Faye Technologies was chosen as the winner of the contract for the project, Ariel felt a slight sense of relief.
Being able to collaborate with the Department of Defense was a really important opportunity for them.
The project would help enhance Faye Technologies‘ reputation by leaps and bounds and solidify their position in the industry as well.
Previously, Ariel had considered helping Faye Technologies venture into this sector once the non–disclosure agreement had expired.
With investments from Janice and Chad at the helm, the company had been in operation for only a little less than four years. Moreover, Ariel had only recently joined Faye Technologies.
Faye Technologies had yet to make it into the ranks of the first–tier companies within their country. Most of the time, they would face limitations when it came to choosing or being chosen for a project.
Now, without having to wait for the non–disclosure agreement to expire first, they had managed to secure the opportunity to work with the Department of Defense.
In an era where science and technology played an important role in a country’s development, and competition among various companies to emerge as the leading developer was fierce, this was a precious opportunity that would give Faye Technologies a good head start.
Once the project was completed, Faye Technologies would most likely become one of the first–tier companies. They would have almost zero limitations in choosing their subsequent projects.
Chad let out a sigh of relief. “I’m glad we did it.”
He turned his gaze to Ariel. There was a slightly regretful expression on his face. “If you had joined me and Jan from the start, Faye Tech probably already expanded its business overseas as well by now.”
Fortunately, it was not too late to start now. With Ariel leading the project, they could still help Faye Technologies rise to greater heights by executing the project perfectly.
After the event ended, Chad asked Jayson to meet them at a nearby coffee shop. Jayson and Nancy showed up at the place shortly afterward.
Jayson glanced at Ariel. “Congratulations.”
Ariel didn’t respond as she continued to look at the contract

Chad grinned. “Mr. Larkin, let’s go over the contract regarding our subsequent plans. We hope that both of you will pay extra attention to the clauses regarding the breach of contract. It would be best if neither party caused any delays during the project’s execution.”
He cast a glance in Nancy’s direction while saying that.
Nancy looked at the contract placed before them regarding the allocation of work for the new project. She furrowed her brows when she read the content.
“Mr. Hockney, Faye Tech is only letting Veyo Solutions participate in the testing and developing some basic, simple technologies. Doesn’t that mean you’ll be keeping pretty much everything to yourselves?”
Nancy continued in a critical tone, “In our previous agreement, it was stated that both companies would work together. Each party would work on developing the tools and technologies that they specialize in, and we would integrate our work afterward!”
They could choose to assign the work accordingly and work together on developing the tools and technologies. Yet, Faye Technologies wouldn’t allow them that chance.
Before they confirmed a joint bidding, they had signed an agreement that detailed each party’s responsibilities and some basic arrangements.
They decided that Faye Technologies would take the lead for this project. The workload would be divided between Faye Technologies and Veyo Solutions based on their respective areas of expertise, with both companies collaborating on the development of new technologies.
Normally, the terms served to reinforce the authority of whoever led the project, ensuring they had oversight and a decisive role in decision–making.
Yet, now that they had won the contract for the project, Veyo Solutions was only offered to participate in the development of basic technologies.
This was no different than saying the Veyo Solutions team had participated in the process when they were only asked to tighten all the screws after the Faye Technologies team had finished creating an advanced, high–end drone.
Veyo Solutions would merely be Faye Technologies‘ helper, or even worse, their sidekick. Nancy felt extremely offended by that.
If they could work on developing the technologies together, Veyo Solutions would also gain huge recognition for their work once the project was completed. If Faye Technologies refused to change its mind, the Veyo Solutions team would only be considered to be providing basic assistance.
How their roles were decided now would produce very different outcomes later on.
This time, Ariel closed the folder containing the contract. She lifted her gaze and looked at Nancy. Her tone was blunt and frigid.
“Do you really understand the kind of position you’re in, Ms. Stanton? Veyo Solutions is the one that needs this favor more. If we do give you a certain level of authority, will you delay the work progress like what happened with Nexura Solutions last time?
“You mentioned that both sides should work on developing the technologies that they specialize in. Also, it is stated in the agreement that we’ll work together.
“Well… Excuse me for saying this, but Faye Tech hardly has any shortcomings in terms of developing and producing new technologies. We’re fully capable of handling the entire process. There aren’t any particular areas of expertise that we’re not good at.

“If you’re so unhappy with this arrangement, Veyo Solutions can always choose to compensate as stated in the previous agreement and back out of the project.”
