Wade flew steadily through the night sky, adjusting his altitude to stay high enough to see everything below bur low enough to remain safe.
He knew Ariel, and she tended to stand out in a crowd, so if she were down there, she would be easier to spot.
Smoke still curled and drifted across the streets. Frowning, he lowered his altitude slightly for a better view.
Bradley’s voice crackled through his earpiece. “Wade Garner! Are you out of your mind? You know the rules! No action until the higher–ups give the order, or you’ll be held responsible!”
