Seth threw an arm over his eyes, his voice sounding even heavier than the suffocating tension in the car. “Yeah. Ruined by my own hands.”

In that moment, a thousand questions clawed at Noreen’s throat.

She wanted to scream at him. Why did you tear that house down?

She wanted to ask him, if he truly never loved Bianca, then why did he throw her away just to choose Bianca in the end?

But the words died on her tongue, and she forced them all back down.

What was the point in asking?

Asking would only prove how much she still cared.

“Seth, my apartment caught on fire. Can I crash at your place for a few days?”

He had just brought Bianca back to the country, and he knew exactly what Yvonne was doing. She was testing him.

The entire ‘can’t sleep in a hotel’ excuse was a blatant lie, designed solely to see if he was truly devoted to Bianca.

Left with no other option, Seth was forced to change his answer and agree to let Bianca stay at his place.

He had originally planned to just rent out a massive penthouse and pretend it was his home, desperate to keep her away from the sanctuary Noreen had so lovingly built.

But Bianca had already done her research. She pointed out that his actual house was close to Aurelion Group, making his commute much easier.

She even claimed she absolutely adored the neighborhood because it offered peace and quiet in the middle of the bustling city.

That day, he drove his car in endless circles around the city block.

He brought Bianca into his home.

The entire house plunged into pitch darkness.

But inside, his chaotic mind finally found peace.

When Bianca stepped out, he lied right to her face. He told her the house had

severe wiring issues that multiple electricians had failed to diagnose.

He casually added that it was the main reason he rarely slept there, preferring to stay in hotels instead.

If it was just a minor inconvenience, Bianca would have toughed it out.

After all, she was here with a specific, calculated agenda.

But having zero electricity was a massive, unlivable nightmare.

Taking his ‘advice’, she packed her bags and moved into a hotel that very night.

Conveniently, Wade Harcourt suffered a sudden health scare later that evening.

Desperate to play the role of the perfect, caring girlfriend-since she knew Wade despised her-Bianca immediately insisted that Seth go stay with him.
