Chapter 59
“Good afternoon, Ms. Pandora p>
The mall staff all greeted her together.
Even though they were still reeling from the shock of Pandora’s true identity, nobody dared question a word Edison had said.
“Chairwoman, you should have let me know you were coming. If I hadn’t happened to walk by, you would’ve been treated so unfairly today p>
Pandora just laughed. “But isn’t this perfect? If I’d warned you, how would I have gotten to see that ridiculous performance p>
The girls who’d been gossiping earlier were in total disbelief now.
None of them saw it coming. Claire, the supposed fake heiress, was suddenly going to be the real heiress of VIA Group.
VIA Group wasn’t just about shopping malls either. They made all kinds of food too. It was a huge company, no question about it.
The girls wandered out of the mall, still stunned, and finally agreed to keep quiet about Claire’s identity.
Meanwhile, Aaron and Jane had started to turn on each other.
“This is all your fault! If it weren’t for you, would I have offended the Chairwoman p>
Aaron was fuming at his niece now. He’d just lost a good job in a single afternoon. How was he supposed to explain that to his wife and kids?
His desperate begging earlier hadn’t been fake.
He really did have a family counting on him.
He’d been earning a solid salary as the mall manager, so his wife stayed home to look after the kids and their parents.
Now he was out of work. What would happen to them?
“Uncle, how was I supposed to know she was the Chairwoman? She dressed so plainly. She didn’t even look like she could afford new clothes p>
Jane felt even more wronged. Getting fired was basically guaranteed now.
Even the store manager was going to get in trouble, and the look she gave Jane was downright icy.
Jane’s family had worked hard to get her uncle to help her land this job at the mall. Now she’d lost it in one day.
“You’re the mall manager and you’ve

If he hadn’t told security to kick them out, would things have gotten this bad?
Aaron couldn’t believe his niece was turning it around on him.
“So now you’re saying it’s my fault p>
Jane didn’t answer, but her face said it all.
Aaron felt his anger rising. “Jane,

Their arguing got louder and louder until Claire and Pandora both frowned.
Edison noticed and signaled to security. “Please escort them outside. No shouting in the mall p>
Neither Aaron nor Jane ever imagined they’d be the ones getting kicked out.
Once the place had quieted down, the rest of the group started to head out too.
Edison finally turned to Pandora. “Chairwoman, is there something special you wanted to discuss today p>
Pandora rolled her eyes at him. “Come on, drop the ‘Chairwoman’ act. It’s just us here p>
“Alright, Pandora.” Edison switched gears in a heartbeat, his face suddenly relaxed and friendly.
“Claire, this is your uncle, Edison p>
“And Edison, this is Claire, Agassi and Melissa’s real daughter p>
Edison had been so busy running VIA Group that he hadn’t even heard about the baby swap.
“So what about Cindy?” Edison barely ever went back to the village.
Most people there just knew he worked in the city and
brought back snacks and company for
his
he holidays
He always told everyone they were almost-expired goods, just handing them out to the families.
Food was the main thing, so kids in James Village never really missed out on treats. “Cindy and Claire were switched at birth. Cindy’s back with her own family now p>
