Chapter 924
However, Felix ignored the praise; his sole focus seemed to be finding Claire. Naturally, the internet quickly spawned several fake accounts claiming to be her. Within a single afternoon, an army of wannabe influencers tried to hijack Claire’s viral fame.
Surprisingly, one of them was an actual student from The Cabinda University’s medical school.
But it wasn’t a freshman-it was a junior.
When commenters asked if she was the girl in the video, she gave vague, non- committal answers.
She subtly implied that only an experienced upperclassman could pull off such a medical feat.
She insinuated that a freshman like Claire couldn’t possibly be that skilled, unless the whole thing was staged.
She then launched into a detailed monologue about how *she* would have handled the emergency, blatantly using Claire’s momentum to boost her own platform.
This junior, Sloane Sterling, was already a mid-tier influencer who posted medical trivia.
She specialized in holistic medicine and often dressed in vintage aesthetics, which had garnered her a loyal following.
Her fans flooded the comments, declaring that Sloane could easily replicate the stunt.
Sloane modestly replied that while she *could*, she would always recommend calling an ambulance instead.
It was a thinly veiled swipe at Claire, implying that showing off was dangerous and risking a patient’s life was unethical.
“Claire, this Sloane girl is the worst. She’s completely tearing you down just to make herself look better.”
Skye was a chronic scroller.
She had immediately recognized the rival student.
“Whatever. Let her talk,” Claire said, stifling a yawn behind her hand.
Tomorrow was the start of their grueling military boot camp, and she needed to rest.
“Only you could be this chill. I would’ve posted a clap-back video by now,” Skye said, giving her a thumbs-up.
Claire waved her off. “Go to sleep!”
Zara, currently wearing a sheet mask while scrolling through TikTok, chimed in to agree with Skye.
“This is a massive wave of free clout. Are you seriously going to ignore it?”
“If you capitalize on this, you could monetize your account right now Zara herself was a streamer, and despite being an heiress, she loved making her own money
Besides, people loved watching the daily lives of affluent socialites.
In fact, Zara had just uploaded a vlog to her own channel.
It was a montage of her move-in day.
Since she wasn’t super close with her roommates yet, she made sure not to show their faces.
Even the accidental background shots were carefully blurred.
For all her diva tendencies, Zara was surprisingly considerate.
“I don’t need internet fame to pay the bills.”
Claire shook her head.
She did post content, but it was strictly educational clips about herbal remedies.
Honestly, her profile looked like it belonged to a retired senior citizen.
It was stoic, disciplined, and incredibly boring.
Claire genuinely didn’t care about the online noise.
Now that Cindy and Octavia’s paid trolls were gone, the outright hate had faded.
People had dug up her old
controversies, with some envying her luck for living eighteen years of luxury before being outed as heiress.
Others pitied her sudden fall from grace.
The comments were a mixed bag.
But Claire’s absolute radio silence irritated the internet.
How could she just ignore instant fame?
Did she hate making money?
Everyone betting on her becoming the next big influencer was left bitterly disappointed.
While thousands of netizens stayed
up furiously debating her life, Claire
was dead to the world, sleeping soundly.

At 6:00 AM sharp, the campus broadcast system blared to wake the freshmen.
Claire woke up right on time and quickly got out of bed.
