Chapter 752
“She’s out of the woods for now, but the fall severely damaged her spine. She’ll need reconstructive surgery later. You need to prepare yourselves for the worst.”
The commotion woke Claire up.
She walked over. “Rough night, Dr. Duncan?”
Dr. Duncan looked at Claire, finally placing why Karla’s face was so familiar.
They had dined at Hearth & Kettle together just a few days ago.
Karla had been sitting at the VIP table. She was obviously close to Claire.
“Claire, is the patient a relative of yours?” Dr. Duncan asked curiously.
Having bonded with his mentor recently, Dr. Duncan felt he was part of the inner circle and treated Claire with immense respect, practically viewing her as one of his
own.
“No, she’s a famous actress. We’ve never even met.”
“But Karla manages her.”
Claire gestured to Karla beside her.
Dr. Duncan nodded in realization. “I see.”
Since her aunt was the manager, it made sense for Claire to tag along.
“Do you want to review her surgical charts?” Dr. Duncan offered. He knew he might not be able to get Sienna to walk again.
But Claire might.
To Dr. Duncan, traditional medicine was a powerful, mystical art form. It truly was a national treasure.
“Not right now. I completely trust your expertise.”
Claire didn’t see the rush. Hovering over the charts wouldn’t change anything at this exact moment.
Dr. Duncan was a brilliant surgeon. If conventional rehab failed, she could step in with alternative therapies later without issue.
“We’ll wait and see how she recovers first, then.”
“If I end up needing your consult…” Dr. Duncan was fiercely dedicated to all his patients.
Claire didn’t technically work for the hospital, so he couldn’t officially assign her to the case.
He could only hope she wouldn’t turn him down.
If only for Karla’s sake.
“We can cross that bridge when we come to it,” Claire said diplomatically, neither committing nor refusing.
They would evaluate the situation when the time came.
Sienna was a high-profile star; she’d demand top-tier medical care.
She might not trust someone as young as Claire anyway.
Since Karla was involved, it was honestly better if Claire kept her distance.
The last
compling she wanted was to complicate things and put Karla inet
difficult position if something went wrong
Karla was visibly shocked by the sheer reverence the senior surgeon showed her niece.
She had been planning to fly Sienna abroad for treatment if the spinal injury left her paralyzed.
Western medical facilities offered far superior rehabilitation options.
Sienna had built a massive fortune Letting that money fall into her toxic family hands, instead of funding her recovery would be the ultimate tragedy.
“Alright, I’m going to grab some sleep,” Dr. Duncan muttered, too exhausted to read the room.
Hours of continuous surgery had completely drained every ounce of life from him.
His hands were trembling so badly he probably couldn’t even hold a fork.
After Dr. Duncan left, Sienna was transferred to the ICU.
The ICU had strict visiting hours.
Karla couldn’t stay by Sienna’s bedside anyway; she had a PR
nightmare to handle The beel

Karla took one brief look at Sienna through the glass before storming off to eviscerate the production team.
The director wasn’t at the hospital-he was busy doing damage control-but the assistant director was.
“What the hell is going on with your set? Do you have an incident report yet?”
The assistant director sweated nervously. He had just breathed a sigh of relief hearing Sienna was alive.
But facing Karla’s wrath was a completely different nightmare.
