She’d been worried her granddaughter might still have feelings for the guy. But now, seeing Claire so calm, Pandora felt relieved.

Claire headed to the hospital. The treatment plan was ready, but they needed the White family’s approval before moving forward.

Daniel, the patient, didn’t have any objections. When he found out that Pandora’s granddaughter was leading his case, he actually felt kind of proud.

“I don’t mind,” he said, grinning. “You could even use me as a test subject if you want. Experiments always work out eventually. I just hope whatever you learn helps more people someday p>

It was obvious Daniel didn’t have much hope for the treatment itself. Whether it worked or not, he didn’t care. He just wanted to see some progress, some breakthrough for the future. As for his own life, he felt like he’d already had enough.

But Claire saw things differently. She tried to reassure him. “Daniel, we’re not just taking a shot in the dark here. We have a real plan. Honestly, between us, I think I could heal you even if I was working alone. I’m good at this. You have to trust me p>

Daniel looked at her with a twinkle in his eye, almost like a mischievous kid. “I do trust you. You remind me of your grandmother when she was young p>

Pandora, in her younger days, never gave up on anything. She believed that if she put her mind to it, she could handle whatever came her way. Nothing could stop her, Claire’s had inherited that same stubborn energy.

Claire loved hearing that. “Then believe in me. We’ll give it our best shot, and let fate handle the rest p>

While Barry was busy talking to the rest of the family, Claire had already gotten Daniel on board.

Over in the waiting room, Chrystal wasn’t convinced about the treatment plan. She thought they

should stick to either traditional net

medicine or modern medicine, not some mix of both. And if they had to combine the two, she wanted someone with more experience, like an old-school traditional doctor. If Claire’s mentor were here, maybe she’d feel better. But Claire was just too young, no matter what certificates she had. In Chrystal’s mind, that medical license could have been pulled with a few strings. Who knew how much it was really worth? She’d heard Claire’s mentor was great, but he was gone now. Chrystal couldn’t help thinking how different things might have been if he were still alive. Maybe her dad’s illness wouldn’t have dragged on this long.

The sisters started arguing and ended up calling Kaley, who was overseas. When Kaley heard that Claire already had Daniel’s approval, she didn’t hesitate for a second.

Chrystal and Jennifer snapped back at her together. “What are you talking about? Dad’s not dead yet, and you’re already talking about his final wishes p>

Kaley just laughed. “Alright then, let’s respect what he wants. If he says Claire should treat him, then that’s

that. If he only has a day left, that’s his choice. Maybe that’s exactly what he wants p>

Her words caught both sisters off guard. They fell silent, realizing she had a point. Daniel had made his feelings clear.

In the end, both of them signed the consent form. They only needed one signature, but it felt right to do it together.
