Adolph’s comments left Sean red-faced and embarrassed. He’d only listened to Carr’s version and got upset about how his student was treated, but what if things didn’t happen the way Carr said they did?
Norris turned to Fletcher. “Let’s bring Claire and Carr here. They need to talk it out, face to face p>
“I’ll get Claire, you get Carr,” Norris said, already heading out the door. Fletcher quickly followed after him.
Watching the two teachers leave so quickly, Sean started to realize he might have jumped to conclusions. But Adolph wasn’t about to let him off easy. “Sean, you can’t just speak up without knowing the facts. If judges decided cases based on their feelings like you, just imagine how many innocent people would be in jail. It’s bad enough that you see people through your own bias, but you also assume everyone else does too p>
Sean had nothing left to say. Swallowing his pride, he mumbled an apology.

Norris made his way to the girls’ dorm. When he arrived, the dorm supervisor’s eyes lit up. “Norris, what brings you here?” Ms. Opal might have been in her fifties, but she still liked seeing a good-looking young man around. The pay for her job wasn’t great, but the view sometimes made up for it.
“Opal, could you help me call Claire?” Norris asked.
“Claire? Of course. She’s the really pretty one, right? Always so polite,” Ms. Opal replied with a knowing smile. She always noticed the especially good-looking students.
She left to get Claire, who came out soon after, still looking a bit sleepy. She’d just woken up from her nap quickly changed and carte down with faint pillow marks on her cheek and her face flushed, looking fresh and lively.
“Norris,” Claire greeted him. She only knew his last name because Fletcher had mentioned it before. Still, she figured someone this young and handsome must be popular with the students at university.
“Claire, I need you to come to the office with me,” Norris said. “Carr’s chaperone is there, and he wants to talk about what happened in the cafeteria at lunch p>
Claire understood right away. They wanted her to confront them in person. She couldn’t believe that teacher and student had the nerve.
