Chapter 826
His legs had improved even more.
Claire gave him another acupuncture session and updated his prescription before finally announcing she was heading back to the Churchill family.
Baldrick wanted to keep her for lunch, but the butler walked in to announce a visitor.
“Who is it?”
Baldrick couldn’t think of anyone who would drop by today.
“It’s Achilles,” the butler said with a smile.
Achilles?
Baldrick remembered that Achilles had mentioned coming over to check on him.
Mostly, it was because Achilles had heard Baldrick’s condition had improved significantly. Unconvinced, he had wanted to see it for himself for a while but hadn’t found the time.
Now that his schedule had cleared up, he showed up immediately.
Baldrick didn’t turn him away.
Achilles had always been one of his primary doctors. However, ever since Claire took over his treatment, Baldrick hadn’t reached out to him.
He wanted to introduce Claire to Achilles. Dane’s future wife was studying medicine, and there was always a chance she might cross paths with the renowned doctor in the future.
“Well, bring him in,” he ordered.
Following Baldrick’s instructions, the butler quickly ushered the guest inside.
Achilles used to be Baldrick’s family doctor and had remained his physician ever since.
When he heard Baldrick had gotten much better after seeking treatment in Apex, his first instinct was disbelief.
He had visited for a checkup two months ago, making this a follow-up appointment.
If the older man’s condition was truly improving without any relapses, Achilles intended to meet the doctor responsible for the miracle.
Anyone capable of curing Baldrick had to possess an incredibly high level of medical expertise.
Upon entering, Achilles immediately greeted Baldrick.
Their families went way back, so Achilles felt completely at ease.
Noticing Dane was also present, he asked with a smile, “Dane, aren’t you heading to the office today?”
“I’ll be leaving shortly,” Dane replied.
Achilles then spotted the unfamiliar girl. “And who might this be?”
Seeing her radiant complexion and stunning features, he was suddenly reminded of his granddaughter.
He had always known how Latonia felt and had secretly hoped to play matchmaker for her and Dane.
But Dane was notoriously indifferent
to women, treating everyone with the same distant politeness. As an elder it was hard for Achilles to

Besides, Latonia was still studying abroad.
He figured he would wait until she returned before bringing it up with Baldrick.
If Baldrick approved, the marriage would be a done deal.
Even if Dane didn’t love his granddaughter right away, he certainly wouldn’t hate her.
Latonia was beautiful and brilliant. She was more than qualified to be Dane’s future wife.
Since Dane didn’t have anyone he liked, he wouldn’t object to marrying such an exceptional woman.
But now, seeing this young woman standing next to Dane-looking like a perfect match-Achilles felt a sudden spike of anxiety.
“She’s the granddaughter of the Churchill family. Her name is Claire,” Baldrick introduced.
Baldrick actually wanted to proudly declare her as Dane’s future wife. But he had a pact with Padgett to keep the engagement under wraps for now.
They were waiting until she turned twenty.
Achilles froze in surprise.
The granddaughter of the Churchill family?
He had heard that the Churchill daughter had been missing for years and was presumed dead.
Where did this daughter come from?
“The Churchill family I’m thinking of?” Achilles asked.
He remembered that Melissa Churchill was once engaged to a boy from the Green family.
But Melissa had backed out of the marriage to run off with a penniless man, Furious Padgett had kicked her out of the house, and shewas never heard from again.
“Is there any other Churchill family?” Baldrick chuckled.
Baldrick then turned to Claire. “Claire, this is my good friend. He’s a in the
rheumatology department at the Cabinda University.”

Understanding the older man’s intention, Claire politely greeted Achilles.
