Chapter 873
Yara’s gaze toward Claire was now filled with awe.
Her cousin Julian’s grades were intimidating enough, but this girl was on a completely different level.
They weren’t even playing the same sport!
“Are you just now realizing you’re at the bottom of the barrel?” Quinn scolded her younger sister bluntly. “If you don’t start working hard, you won’t even earn a seat at the adult table.”
Being known as the dumbest student among the relatives that would be Yara’s permanent label anytime someone brought her up.
Yara pouted. Who would want a label like that?
“I heard Claire is also an IMO champion. Are you planning to major in mathematics like our oldest cousin?”
Quinn couldn’t be bothered to entertain her sister anymore and looked at Claire with sheer curiosity.
Claire shook her head. “I chose the medical school. I’m much more interested in medicine.”
Quinn was astonished.
“Is the math department really going to let you slip away?”
Of course they wouldn’t.
The math department had already gotten into several turf wars with the medical school over her.
“Our oldest cousin is a professor in the math department. If the faculty finds out you two are related, they’ll definitely send him to recruit you.”
Even though Quinn didn’t attend The Cabinda University, she was very familiar with how academia operated.
With Claire’s dual prestigious titles, the professors’ thirst for a prodigy would drive them absolutely crazy.
“Well, that sounds like his problem,” Claire said, winking at Quinn.
Quinn nodded. Makes total sense!
Irma watched as Yolande introduced Claire to the Churchill relatives, so she dragged her brother over to join the circle.
“Yolande, Quinn.”
Irma approached, greeting them with a bright smile.
She didn’t get to see Yolande often, but they usually had decent conversations, so their relationship was amicable enough.
As for Quinn, Irma considered her to be far removed from the core Churchill family, making them nothing more than mere acquaintances.
She then turned to Claire. “Claire, it’s been a while.”
Claire didn’t have a good impression of Irma, but she gave a polite nod out of respect for her aunt Victoria.
Claire’s obvious coldness made Irma’s chest tighten with annoyance.
What was she acting so arrogant for? She just got lucky in the reincarnation lottery!
If she wasn’t Melissa’s daughter, who knows what kind of peasant work she’d be doing in the country right now.
“Did you need something, Irma?”
Seeing Irma staring unblinkingly at her Claire had no idea what
delusions were running through the other girl’s head.
Irma finally snapped out of her daze. “Oh, nothing. Just came over to say hi.”
“This is my brother, Lyle Dean.” Irma suddenly remembered her true objective for coming over.
Lyle’s eyes were practically glued to Claire’s body.
Irma scoffed inwardly. Her mother really thought Claire wasn’t good enough for her son.
Please. Her precious brother was a total creep who couldn’t even walk straight when he saw a pretty girl.
She gave Lyle a firm shove.
Lyle stumbled forward, nearly crashing right into Claire.
Luckily, he managed to catch his balance.
If he hadn’t, Claire would have simply sidestepped and let him faceplant onto the floor.
“My apologies.” Lyle hadn’t expected to almost collide with her.
Amidst his embarrassment, he felt a twinge of regret.
If he actually had bumped into her, it would have been the perfect excuse to get closer.
“Hello, Lyle,” Claire replied smoothly, acting as if the near-accident hadn’t bothered her in the slightest.
Lyle thought to himself that this girl
was
family dead gorgeous. If his

Claire, he was more than

He would submit to that arrangement body and soul!
“Hello, Claire. You don’t mind if I call you that, O you?” The man, usua

Claire indicated it was fine.
“Since you just moved to Cabinda, you probably aren’t very familiar with the city yet,
are you?”
