The commotion they made at the entrance didn’t reach Noreen’s side, but it certainly alerted Crystal’s party.

After ending the call with Jasmine, Crystal had returned to the ballroom with a cold face, completely devoid of any festive spirit.

When people tried to talk to her, she was entirely distracted.

Even her parents could tell she was in a terrible mood.

Nancy Chelsea stayed glued to her side, trying to comfort her.

But Crystal remained lethargic.

Then, someone mentioned hearing a loud argument outside in the hall.

Crystal immediately perked up. “Where’s the argument?”

“Just outside the ballroom across the hall. Probably some guests from that party. They’re going at it pretty intensely, but I just walked past, so I didn’t catch what it was about.”

Crystal was instantly energized.

She grabbed Nancy’s arm. “Mom, let’s go check it out.”

“But you have guests here.”

“It’s fine, they’re all close friends.” She even turned and invited her usual circle of socialites to come watch the spectacle.

In elite circles, gossip spread faster than the evening news. If things went sideways, Noreen would be the laughingstock of their entire social set.

When Crystal and her entourage arrived at the lobby, Carman was trying to pull Jasmine away.

He didn’t want a scene here.

Not because he feared embarrassment, but because he didn’t want to cause trouble for Noreen.

It was a big day, and ruining someone else’s celebration was out of line.

But Jasmine refused to cooperate, hell-bent on making the situation as ugly as possible.

“Jasmine, what is the point of throwing this tantrum?” Carman’s face went completely cold.

He was usually a very accommodating man. This was the first time his demeanor had turned so frigid.

Jasmine’s chest tightened, and she quickly backpedaled. “I just want us to live a good life together. Just do it for the sake of our child. Besides, all of InnoCore’s shares are entirely ours now. We can be a happy family from now on. You handle the tech,” and I’ll handle the management. Okay?”

Carman froze, turning around to glare at her. “What did you just say? You took InnoCore’s shares from Noreen?”

“Yes, I just finalized it this morning,” Jasmine admitted openly.

Carman violently shook off her hand. “Why didn’t you discuss this with me?”

“Discuss what? If I asked you, would you have agreed? No, you wouldn’t!”

Carman shook his head in absolute disappointment. “Jasmine, you’re digging your own grave!”

The thing Jasmine hated most was Carman looking down on her.

Looking at her as if she were vastly inferior to Noreen.

“I am not! I’m going to prove to you that without Noreen, InnoCore is going to thrive even more!”

The damage was done, and Carman knew any further argument was pointless.

He had given up on Jasmine a long time ago. Seeing her remain so

Panic seized Jasmine. “I won’t allow it!”

“Whether I stay or go isn’t up to you. When we founded InnoCore, I made a promise to Noreen that she would be a permanent partner. Since she’s out, what reason do I have to stay? Since you love being in control so much, you can have the whole damn
