Chapter 1262

[ 612 words ]

Hearing Claire’s suggestion, she was immediately tempted.

“Actually, I kind of want to check out SUNNY. Didn’t you say it was in this mall?”

Coincidentally, this was VIA Metropolis, the closest mall to the hotel across the street.

SUNNY was exclusively located within VIA Metropolis.

They only opened boutiques in VIA Metropolis branches nationwide, leaving competing malls completely shut out with no way to poach them.

“I actually thought that vintage gown Zoe Zeller wore earlier was quite beautiful.”

“My mom loves vintage gowns too. She’d definitely appreciate something classic with a modern twist.”

Skylar was a total mama’s girl, always keeping her mother in mind.

“She’d definitely love it, but you heard what I told Zoe earlier. That dress isn’t cheap.”

It cost well over a hundred thousand dollars.

Even Claire considered it expensive, despite having just received ten million dollars in pocket money.

“Don’t they have anything more affordable?” Skylar actually had some cash on hand, and not just from her family’s generous allowance.

She had been earning her own side income since high school.

She loved to draw and created serialized graphic novels online, which had become incredibly popular.

She currently had hundreds of thousands of dollars saved up in her account.

But dropping over a hundred grand at once on a dress for her mom still felt a little too steep for her current budget.

“They do. They have pieces ranging from two or three thousand to around twenty or thirty thousand dollars.”

“While SUNNY’s target demographic isn’t exactly broad, they don’t exclusively cater to high-end clients.”

Claire knew SUNNY inside and out, and Skylar didn’t overthink it, simply assuming her aunt was a SUNNY executive.

“I have a membership card here, so I can definitely get you a discount.”

Since this was her roommate, Claire wasn’t going to be stingy.

“I’ll take you for a look around first. We can decide if you actually find something you like.”

Skylar nodded eagerly. “Let’s go right now.”

SUNNY was located on the third floor, snagging the most prime real estate VIA Metropolis had to offer.

The interior design was absolutely breathtaking.

Furthermore, they had secured a sprawling duplex layout spanning both the third and fourth floors.

The third floor displayed

ready-to-wear collections that were

more accessible, while the fourth

floorhoused haute couture and

handled VIP custom orders.

Claire led Skylar up to the third floor.

Unexpectedly, as soon as they walked in, they ran into Sloane Sterling and Meiko Fujii.

“Claire,” Sloane greeted her proactively.

Meiko also offered Claire a warm smile and a greeting.

Both of them were wearing SUNNY garments, clearly in the middle of a fitting.

Claire nodded at them in acknowledgment.

“Out shopping too, Sloane?”

Sloane nodded. “Meiko wanted to buy some Solenian clothes. Since SUNNY has been incredibly popular these past two years, I brought her here to take a look.” fo FindNovel.net

She seemed particularly thrilled with the outfit she was wearing, specifically asking

Claire, “Do you think this dress looks good on me?”

Sloane was tall, and the dress truly

accentuated her figure. Paired with a winter coat featuring a snow-white fur collar against red fabric she looked like a high-society heiress stepping out of a classic film.

“If you change up your hairstyle, I guarantee you’ll be the most stunning woman in this entire mall.”

Hearing her praise, Sloane’s smile grew noticeably more genuine.

She genuinely didn’t like Claire, but she had no desire to actively make an enemy out of her either.

Now that Claire was complimenting her, she couldn’t help but bask in the flattery.

“I know, but I’m terrible at doing my own hair. When I wear this for the holidays, I’ll have my mom style it for me.”

“I was hesitating whether to buy it or not, but hearing you say that sets my mind at ease!”

Unless it was a custom order, SUNNY usually carried a few pieces per style, though stock was always limited.
