However he spent those millions, he knew exactly how to earn them back.

A corporate titan wasn’t just dominant in romance he was a CEO with razor-sharp business acumen.

Lincoln saw the message just as he was meeting up with his girlfriend, Bianca.

“What’s wrong?” she asked, noticing his strange expression.

“Mr. Green just told me to acquire a boutique hotel.”

Bianca looked shocked. “Out of the blue? Is Mr. Green expanding into the hospitality industry?”

Lincoln was just as clueless. “I don’t think that’s it.”

Bianca suddenly recalled the previous task his boss had assigned him. “Could it be because his fiancée likes their restaurant?”

Lincoln was skeptical. “No way. Mr. Green doesn’t seem like the type to go rogue just to impress a girl.”

“Why not? Didn’t he have us scout all those restaurants before just so he could take his fiancée out for a nice meal?”

“He’s loaded. Why is it so hard to believe he’d go the extra mile for the woman he’s going to marry?”

“He’s not like you I asked you to take a day off to go to the hospital with me, and you shot me down!”

Lincoln’s face flashed with awkwardness. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to go; it was simply that his position demanded his constant availability.

He couldn’t just walk away.

He could have requested a leave of absence, but Lincoln refused to let any career opportunity slip through his fingers.

“I’m doing all this for our future,” he justified.

“If I shadow Mr. Green for a few more years, he’ll promote me to head my own department.”

“Once I get that promotion and raise, we’ll finally be able to put down roots here in Cabinda.”

“Bianca, you have to trust me. I promise I’ll give you a real home.”

Bianca yawned. “Right, sure. Or maybe you’ll get that promotion and dump me.”

“Are you going to eat with me first, or are you going to run your boss’s errand?”

Bianca and Lincoln had been dating for three years.

She had met Lincoln when she was nearing graduation, back when he had returned to his alma mater for a corporate recruitment drive.

They were basically college sweethearts.

Now, Bianca was about to finish her master’s degree, and Lincoln had firmly

established himself at Vertex International.

Barring any disasters, their marriage was practically set in stone.

But…

Bianca’s eyes flickered. Whether or not they actually tied the knot depended entirely on how hard Lincoln was willing to work for it.

“Let’s grab a bite at this boutique hotel. I need to figure out why Mr. Green wants to buy it before I negotiate a price with the owner.”

Bianca didn’t object. In situations like this, Mr. Green covered Lincoln’s dining expenses, meaning she got a free luxury meal.

A broke student like her could never afford a high-end establishment on her own.

But with Lincoln around, she could tag along and enjoy all the perks.

A thought began to waver in Bianca’s mind.

“What’s wrong? You seem distracted.”

Noticing her zoning out, Lincoln reached over to check her forehead.

“It’s

stressed out about job hunting lately.”

Seeing her anxiety, Lincoln quickly comforted her. “Don’t panic. If it’s hard to find a job, just take your time your man can still afford to Support you for now.

“Yeah, I have a place to stay since I’m with you, so I guess I can afford to wait But a lot of my roommates. are already thinking about moving back to their hometowns.”

“The cost of living in Cabinda is crazy. Landing a decent job is incredibly tough.”

“Say, what if I applied to your company?”

Bianca suddenly proposed the idea.

If Lincoln was willing to pull some strings and get her a job, she wouldn’t have to

stress over her career options anymore.

“You can definitely apply, but your major…”
