Chapter 1464

Her roommates’ theories were entirely wrong, but the result was perfect.
Seeing them drop the subject, Claire let out a hidden sigh of relief.
Hillary’s cafeteria cover was rock solid.
For the next few days, Claire’s classes went smoothly, and she occasionally walked home with her cousin.
But she usually traveled alone.
Despite Dane’s strict orders to stay guarded.
Claire had her own strategy.
If these operatives were dead set on smuggling her to Sundara, they would inevitably make their move.
But if they struck while she was surrounded by her own people or Dane’s security, her protectors might get hurt.
No one wanted that.
Claire wanted to force their hand and draw them out early.
Breaking their momentum now would shatter their arrogance; she didn’t believe they could stay patient forever.
As Claire continued her routine, the hidden operatives were indeed losing patience. They convened in a safehouse.
“What do we do? The target is never isolated. Her solo transit times are almost non- existent.”
They had been assembled specifically to capture Claire.
Their boss was burning vital undercover assets just to acquire her.
“You know the orders. The boss needs her alive. Casualties are unacceptable.”
“Alive is tough. Dead is easy,” muttered a silver-haired teenager, casually flipping a combat knife.
Tycho Thorne looked every bit the edgy mercenary.
Felicity Frost sneered at him. “You give her too much credit, Tycho. There’s no way we can’t take her.”
“Grabbing her alive is child’s play.”
“Quinton, back me up on a run tonight?” Felicity turned to the third member.

He glanced at her coldly. “Brute force is useless here.”
“We need a flawless extraction plan to get her out of the country.”
Felicity scowled, frustrated that Quinton wasn’t on her side.
She frowned. “So, we just wait?”
“Forget it. I’m making a play tonight!”
Without waiting for a response, she stormed off to sleep.
She needed to be fresh for her night op.
Quinton despised arguing with her.
He simply looked at Tycho. “Keep an eye on her.”
Tycho rolled his eyes. He had zero interest in babysitting Felicity.
She was arrogant and reckless.
Sure, she could seduce men effortlessly, but how did she plan to handle a woman?
Did she really think pure combat skill was enough?
Solenia was crawling with lethal, low-profile operatives.
For all they knew, Claire was already flanked by elite guardians.
Blissfully unaware of the looming
threat Claire enjoyed lunch with met
roommates.
They returned to the dorm for a nap.
Campus was a safe zone, allowing her to rest easy.
Meanwhile, Hillary finished her lunch rush and retreated to the staff room to eat.
As she was leaving, a voice called out.
