Chapter 1605

[ 572 words ]

Quinn had been waiting the whole time, convinced Claire would return for her.

But no matter how long she waited, Claire never showed up.

She felt a crushing wave of disappointment.

They were just strangers passing by; Claire had no obligation to save her.

But she had truly believed she had finally grasped a lifeline.

Yates noticed her constant spacing out over the past two days and secretly laughed at her naivety.

“Quinn, Drake is coming in for a wash and massage tonight. Get yourself ready.”

Seeing Quinn stare blankly out the window, Yates easily guessed what was on her mind.

He wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and chuckled. “You aren’t still waiting for that couple to come back and save you, are you?”

“They were just tourists. They’re probably long gone by now.”

“Even if they believed you and called for help, you have to remember whose territory this is.”

Yates was practically gloating with sheer arrogance.

Quinn’s body trembled.

She was genuinely terrified of Yates, but Drake was a twisted psychopath with sick preferences.

She was absolutely petrified of Drake.

She forced out a few tears. “Yates, I’m not feeling well today. Can you have someone else serve Drake?”

Yates released her waist, gripped her shoulders, and forced her to face him.

“Quinn, it’s not that I want you to go. Drake specifically asked for you.”

“That pitiful look on your face is exactly what gets him going.”

“He said every time you cry, he gets even more excited.”

“And with your pale skin, those red whip marks look incredibly stunning on you.”

“If he doesn’t want you, who else would he want?”

Quinn finally snapped, her trembling hand flying up to slap Yates across the face. “You animal!”

“I was a fool to ever trust you!”

If she hadn’t blindly trusted Yates, she would have never come to this hellhole to meet him.

All that crap about Montara’s

beautiful scenery being perfect for a

death for believing it.

But regret was useless now.

She couldn’t escape and was trapped in this nightmare.

Getting slapped by a woman was the ultimate humiliation for Yates.

It meant he hadn’t trained her well enough; she hadn’t fully submitted to him yet.

But Yates loved playing mind games.

He feigned a calm smile. “Quinn, didn’t that hurt your hand?”

“Next time you want to hit me, just let me know. I can do it for you.”

“I don’t want you serving Drake either, but what can we do when he specifically wants you?”

“Stop being stubborn. You don’t want to go back to the basement, do you?”

At the mention of the basement, Quinn visibly recoiled.

She had been locked in there once.

days the memory was scarred into Even though it was only for three et hermind

She couldn’t go back in there!

Quinn had severe claustrophobia since childhood. Being locked in the dark had nearly driven her insane.

She didn’t want to go back, so she didn’t dare fight back.

She could only glare at him. “Yates, if

this situation. Do you have ever

shred of guilt?”

Trying to play the emotional card?

Yates stared her down. “Quinn, I’ve told you before. If you just behave, we’ll get married eventually.”

“Why won’t you just trust me and focus on making us money?”

Quinn let out a cold scoff. “How many women have you fed that exact lie?”

“You want me to trust you? Why should anyone trust a single word you say?” “Unless you let me go home, you’re nothing but a monster!”

Yates’s smile vanished. “Quinn, do you have any idea what you’re saying?”
