Chapter 1180
But Silas’s eyes never left her.
As soon as Noreen slipped away from him, her gaze subconsciously swept the room for Seth, but he was nowhere to be found.
Her eyes darkened. She excused herself from the conversation, set her champagne glass down, and walked in the opposite direction.
She moved through the glittering crowd and took the red-carpeted stairs up to the guest lounges on the third floor.
She had barely reached the third door when a hand clamped around her wrist, hauling her into the suite.
The door clicked shut. The lights stayed off.
The man’s lips crashed down on hers.
Noreen didn’t struggle, because her senses were instantly flooded with the intoxicating, woodsy scent that was ingrained in her very bones.
Crisp, cool, and undeniably Seth.
Their breathing echoed heavily in the dark, silent room, tangling together until there was no space left between them.
Seth’s kiss stripped away all of his usual restraint. It was punishing, deep, as if he wanted to devour her whole.
He kissed her with a near-violent desperation, a restless, untamed frustration burning in the slide of his lips against hers.
Noreen didn’t even have to guess.
The jealousy had taken over again.
She bit down softly on his lip to soothe him, her voice slipping out in breathless fragments. “Stop it… you’re ruining my lipstick.”
Thankfully, she had learned her lesson and brought a touch-up in her purse.
Seth shifted, burying his face in her neck, trailing kisses over her skin before biting at the strap of her dress.
Noreen gasped. “You can’t leave marks!”
“Then I’ll bite you,” his voice was rough, ragged with need.
Noreen pushed back. “There are people outside.”
“It’s better with an audience.” He pressed flush against her, refusing to let go.
Noreen realized he wasn’t going to be easily appeased. She shoved against his
head, which was still wreaking havoc against her throat, and said breathlessly, “You have to help me handle the toasts later, deal?”
Seth froze.
Slowly, he lifted his head. “Deal!”
They could just finish the kissing after the party.
Noreen finally caught her breath and quickly smoothed out her dress.
They slipped out of the lounge one after another.
Fortunately, the hallway was empty.
Seth was losing his mind lately, acting like a wild animal on the verge of snapping.
Just seconds after they left, Crystal Chelsea stepped out from the shadows.
She stared in the direction Noreen and Seth had gone, a toxic, vindictive glare burning in her eyes.
She pulled out her phone and called Gia Vance, ordering her to bring her something immediately.
She was going to permanently destroy any lingering hope Dylan had for Noreen.
And the only way to do that was to force Noreen and Seth’s relationship into the blistering public eye.
Sure, this plan might look like she was doing Noreen a favor by exposing them.
But Crystał was convinced that the only reason Noreen hadn’t
eln
public was because Seth on
completely penniless and Noreen was ashamed of him.
She wanted to completely humiliate Noreen!
And the ‘something’ she ordered Gia to bring was aphrodisiacs.
Crystal knew Gia always carried them.
Gia had been desperately trying to drug Healy Naylor so she could crawl into his
bed and lock down their relationship for good.
She just hadn’t found the right opportunity.
Once Crystal got the drugs, she headed back down to the ballroom.
Her company had zero standing in Rivercrest City. The only reason she even scored an invite to the Eastvale reception was because she was loudly bragging about an impending
partnership with NoMore
Corporation.

So the moment Crystal reappeared, people flocked to her, kissing up and trading
fake pleasantries.
“Ms. Chelsea, if you ever get the chance, I’d love an introduction to the boss of Nomore. I’m incredibly curious about him, Yves Selwyn requested.
He really did just follow the scent of money wherever it went.
Crystal hadn’t forgotten Yves’s past insults. “We’ll see,” she replied coldly.
Yves knew she was blowing him off, but he maintained a groveling smile. “Your
company is really about to take off.”
Crystal just smiled, saying nothing.
