Chapter 1158
Norris didn’t feel the slightest bit awkward about being left out.
In fact, he was relieved.
He cleared his own tray and walked out of the cafeteria without a second glance. Carlson caught up to him a few moments later, slightly breathless.
“Norris, hold up! Are you mad that I just swooped in and made a move on your girl?” Norris rolled his eyes. If someone actually stole his girl, would he be happy about it?
“She’s not my girl. Make all the moves you want.” Norris had zero interest in Honoria.
He was all too familiar with women like her.
They had an arrogance bred deep in their bones.
Perhaps it was their privileged upbringing that led them to believe men would fall to their knees with a simple snap of their fingers.
“Man, Honoria is seriously impressive. She just got back from studying abroad, and the university snatched her right up.”
Carlson sang her praises, but Norris remained entirely unfazed. “She teaches
history. Was studying abroad really necessary for that?”
She taught Western history, a subject Norris couldn’t care less about.
Carlson choked on his words, realizing Norris actually had a point.
Did a history major truly learn more overseas than they could right here in Solenia?
Then again, she specialized in Western history and returned to teach that exact subject, so there was no point overanalyzing it.
While it was clear Honoria was accomplished, her credentials seemed a little fluffed up.
“She invited me to her birthday party. What do you think I should wear this Saturday?”
“Should I go formal or keep it casual?”
Carlson was already stressing over his outfit; he was clearly thrilled about the weekend bash.
“Did she actually give you the address?” Norris asked, pouring a bucket of cold water over his excitement.
Carlson froze.
“No… she probably just forgot.”
“Whatever, we traded numbers. I’ll just text her on WeChat and ask.”
Norris stayed silent.
Carlson was practically buzzing with excitement, and nothing Norris said was going to bring him down from that high.
While Carlson was daydreaming about romance, Norris just wanted to finish his lectures and go home.
He was dedicated to his career, but he firmly believed in a healthy work-life balance. Wasn’t relaxing at home on the weekend the best?
He made it a rule to decline unnecessary social events whenever humanly possible. Norris had promised to drive his sister home after her classes.
When Claire slipped into the passenger seat of his car, she looked around guiltily like a thief in the night.
Coincidentally, this exact scene was spotted by Honoria, whose eyes were still glued to Norris.
“Honoria, what’s wrong?”
Honoria watched Norris’s car pull away, snapping out of her daze only when her colleague spoke.
“Nothing,” Honoria shook her head.. “Suzie, let’s go shopping. I still need to pick up a few things for my party tomorrow content belongs to. FindNovel.net
The colleague, Suzie, readily agreed.

“But we do have a few solid catches on campus.”
“Like the guy I mentioned earlier―Norris.”
“He’s already an associate professor at his age. He’s got an incredibly bright future.”
“Plus, you can just tell from how he dresses that he comes from a wealthy family.”
Honoria’s eyes gleamed. “Is he really single?”
“I heard a rumor that some female student was seen getting into his car.”
Suzie shook her head. “I have no idea. You don’t think he’s having a faculty-student affair, do you?”
“No way. They are cracking down so hard on that right now.”
