Chapter 1214

The facts proved that some people were simply that brilliant.
He really shouldn’t have doubted his student without verifying the truth first.
“I’m no master. I’ve just been learning acupuncture since I was little.”
Professor Yancy’s admiration for Claire grew even stronger.
Dr. Quentin Quincy had been full of praise for Claire during the call, making it obvious she was incredibly talented.
Professor Yancy wasn’t a prejudiced man. As long as Claire truly had the skills, it didn’t matter if she attended his lectures or not.
However, there was one thing that deeply confused him.
“If you specialize in traditional medicine, why did you choose clinical medicine as your major?”
He really didn’t understand the youth these days. Were they all this ambitious?
“I want to broaden my knowledge.”
“Besides, I learned more than just traditional medicine growing up. I studied modern medicine, too.”
“My first mentor was my grandmother.”
“She worked in clinical practice.”
So that was it.
Professor Yancy tested her with a few complex medical questions. Seeing how effortlessly she answered them, he knew exactly how to treat her moving forward.
After Claire left, he sighed and said to Zane, “The kids these days are unbelievable. They’re raised much better than our generation was.”
“She comes from a medical family.” Zane then told him about how Claire had performed an emergency surgery on a male student during freshman orientation.
“Was that the kid whose… family jewels were in jeopardy?”
Professor Yancy had heard about that incident. It suddenly made sense why a colleague had joked that the medical school had stolen the math department’s precious darling.
She really was that incredible.
“To think she was part of that surgery and even got her name on the record. Her future is limitless.”
The professor marveled at her talent, feeling the undeniable truth that the new generation was quickly surpassing the old. Soon enough, veterans like him would be completely obsolete.
“Right?” Zane had incredibly high hopes for Claire as well.
Claire had no idea what the two men were whispering about.
She had originally planned to go

back to her apartment to sleep, but skincare was on cafibus, already she just headed to her dorm.
It was rare for Claire to sleep in the dorm instead of studying, which made her
roommates quite curious.
But no one bothered her.
When she finally woke up, Skylar Sommers and Zara Zeller invited her out for dinner.
“You two don’t have anything going on?”
Zara was applying hand cream. “What would I have going on? Outside of classes, I strictly avoid any academic exertion.”
Zara hated the library.
She went home every weekend. In reality, she was exceptionally smart. Otherwise, her lack of effort would have guaranteed a failed semester by now. But she seemed to be doing just fine.
Skylar also said her evening was free. Her hometown student association had invited her to an event, but she had declined.
“I got spooked by what happened at Lex Grant’s association.”
“If people are scamming money at those events, I’d rather just stay away.”
“Plus, I noticed some of the upperclassmen aren’t exactly decent. They just stare at
the freshmen girls, looking to hook up.”
“They’re just trying to take advantage of young, naive girls like us.”
Claire sighed. “Not everyone has luck as bad as Lex’s.”
“Everyone here made it into The
Cabinda University. Most people ust

study hard. A lot of the seniors at those events are actually great and pass down helpful study materials to the freshmen
Skylar shuddered in distaste.
She didn’t want any study materials. She’d rather work hard on her own thangisk getting

“Don’t bother convincing Skye. She’s thoroughly grossed out.”
“This morning, some guy from her hometown confessed to her in the cafeteria.”
Zara looked highly amused as she brought it up.
Clearly, something entertaining had happened while Claire was asleep.
