Chapter 1376
[ 556 words ]
Western medicine relied heavily on surgery, cutting out whatever part was failing.
But traditional medicine targeted the root cause to heal the entire system.
Lawler’s shift in attitude toward traditional medicine made Ethan Monroe realize just how incredible Claire truly was.
However, there was still one thing he didn’t quite understand.
“Spit it out,” Claire finally said, unable to ignore the way Ethan was staring at her.
Ethan pressed his lips together, looking a bit sheepish. “I just wanted to ask, how I you manage to master both traditional and modern medicine so perfectly?”
did
Comparison truly was the thief of joy. Though he considered himself a medical prodigy, trying to juggle both disciplines would have driven him insane.
“Because I was born for this,” Claire replied, without a hint of exaggeration.
She wasn’t bragging.
She really was built for the medical field.
Plus, she had been studying since childhood. While Ethan also came from a family of doctors, he definitely hadn’t started learning modern medicine from the crib.
Personal passion was a massive factor as well.
Hearing her answer, Ethan gave up the struggle. Claire was simply gifted, and he really couldn’t compare!
Still, Ethan made a firm decision-he was going to start learning traditional medicine.
“If I want to study it, what’s the best way to start? Any book recommendations?”
Ethan asked for her guidance.
Claire shot him a surprised look. “Are you sure?”
She didn’t know if he was just acting out of a sudden burst of inspiration, but she hoped he would think it through.
Mastering one field of medicine was hard enough, let alone a traditional holistic approach.
Modern medicine was neatly categorized, but traditional medicine required a comprehensive understanding of everything.
“I’m sure,” Ethan said, noticing the doubt in her eyes. “Don’t worry, this isn’t just some fleeting whim.”
Claire gave a noncommittal hum.
Even if it wasn’t a whim, not everyone was capable of grasping traditional medicine.
But she decided not to crush his enthusiasm just yet.
“Learning the basics isn’t the hard part; the real challenge is persistence.”
“If you really want some introductory books, I can give you a list.”
“But…” Claire hesitated, glancing over at Barry.
“Does your dad know you’re doing this?”
She could tell that Barry desperately wanted his son to take over his legacy.
In other words, he wanted Ethan to shine in his current medical specialty.
If Ethan got sidetracked by traditional medicine and ended up losing his edge in what he was best at, it would be a disaster.
“My dad is actually very open-minded,” Ethan explained, rubbing his nose.
His father
he
had him later in life, and
while he didn’t necessarily spoil him, o never force him to study something he hated.
And he certainly wouldn’t stop him from learning an additional skill.
Besides, he was just testing the waters right now. Wanting to learn and actually succeeding were two entirely different things.
Ethan wasn’t trying to prove anything; he just recognized the value of the traditional approach.
Since combining both methods yielded the best clinical results, why shouldn’t he learn it?
“Just scratching the surface of traditional medicine won’t do you much good.”
Seeing Ethan’s stubborn determination, Claire started to worry again.
She wanted to talk him out of it.

She had been studying it since childhood. If it weren’t for her near-photographic memory, she never would have reached her current level Contert
And yes, she undeniably had a natural gift for it.
Claire freely admitted that.
