Bianca froze instantly, entirely stripped of her usual quick wit.

Her wealthy date, however, reacted first.

“Babe, is that guy calling you?”

Bianca felt a suffocating wave of pure terror. She had no idea how to face Lincoln right now.

Even worse, she was terrified that if the rich guy found out she was two-timing, she would lose her meal ticket.

Her mind raced frantically. What was she supposed to do?

Should she pacify Lincoln first, or keep the rich guy happy and beg Lincoln for forgiveness later?

She had actually wanted to break things off with Lincoln for a while now, but she couldn’t bear to let go of the warm comfort he provided.

Bianca admitted to herself that she was simply a greedy woman.

She wanted the romance, and she wanted the money.

Truthfully, Lincoln was already far more impressive than most average men.

But after catching a glimpse of men at the level of Lincoln’s boss, Dane, Bianca had started to look down on Lincoln.

No matter how capable Lincoln was, he still had to bow and scrape in front of a man like Mr. Green.

Instead of waiting years for him to climb the ladder, why shouldn’t she just date a boss from the very beginning?

“Do you know him? Should we go over and say hi?”

Noticing Bianca’s prolonged silence, the man nudged her.

“No, I don’t!”

Bianca desperately tried to pretend she had never seen Lincoln before in her life.

But the rich guy obviously wasn’t buying it. “He looks pretty familiar to me. Are you sure you don’t know him?”

“The way he’s looking at you doesn’t exactly scream ‘mistaken identity.””

The rich guy leaned in close, wrapping an arm around Bianca’s waist-not as a display of affection, but as a rigid clamp to ensure she couldn’t run away.

Ignoring Bianca’s obvious distress, he forcefully steered her right over to where Claire and the others were sitting.

“Hey man, were you calling Bianca?”

“I had no idea our Bianca knew such a handsome guy.”

As the rich guy asked the question, Lincoln instinctively looked at Bianca.

At the sound of his name, Dane finally looked up and studied the rich guy.

“Yanni Wheeler?”

What a coincidence. The man was Logan Hayes’s cousin.

Yanni’s eyes practically gleamed as he studied Lincoln with sudden, calculating interest.

“He’s my secretary.”

As Dane said the words, Claire noticed a sharp flash of disgust in the girlfriend’s eyes.

Clearly, Bianca found Lincoln’s job title humiliating.

So, she looked down on a hardworking, ambitious guy like Lincoln and sold out for a trust fund brat instead?

But did this trust fund brat actually care about her?

Claire discreetly analyzed Bianca. She had a great figure, a pretty face, and radiant skin.

Beauty was a rare asset-if you were living an average life.
